Did u catch that?? Jesus was led by the spirit... into the wilderness... to be tempted by the devil. Some of us are in our wildnerness askin God... "what are u doing??" "am I in the right place?" Im talkin about when ur in COMPLETE obedience to God and things seem crazy... dont be dscouraged. It seems we are taught alot of the times that when we are goin through somethin it is because of some kind of sin or disobedience... not so.... ~of course there are consequences when, in fact.... we are in sin and if you are truly seeking after righteousness, the holy spirit WILL convict you.
Jesus, being fully man and fully God was led up to the wilderness by the spirit of God to be tested at what could have been his weakest point... Go read it! lol... he was fasting... he had just been baptized and was about to begin his ministry... what God revealed to me is that there is time for testing and sacrafice... alot of us can talk a good talk, but when it comes down to it... can we walk it??! Hmmmmm.... thats when the test comes... possibly at our weakest points... possibly not. There is a time when God says... Ok you been drinking milk long enough... time for some solid food!
Kirk Franklin made a statement on his last CD~ songs for the storm.... he said that alot of people mistake the storms or wilderness as some type of punishment... but in fact it is a way of God showin his love for us; preparing and making sure we are ready for what he is about to bring us into! Yes! Amen!
