The Roles We Play

Well, I made a Roleplay a while ago and it was called the "IEF Venture." I never really actually finished the plot, and it's been sitting around collecting dust. If any of you are interested in this Roleplay and/or have Ideas to improve upon it, I would love to hear about it! Otherwise it might just go back on the shelf of "It exists but isn't touched..." >.>

This Roleplay is set in 2052, where a few select men and women have been chosen to man the IEF Venture, one of five ships built to explore the cosmos and discover a new, beautiful world for Humanity to inhabit. The Earth is dying, the ships are ready. Are you ready to explore the depths of space and find a new world for Humanity to live on? Or does your destiny lead you away from this webpage..

Roleplay History: The Earth was once a very peaceful world.. Humanity however, is not a peaceful Race. Several wars and the greed in their souls were quickly plundering the Maiden Earth of it's resources, of it's land, and even it's Life. Very few people saw this happening, and they were quickly silenced or ignored. Humanity is a great thing, but also destructive. Below is the History of major events on the Planet Earth up until now.

2010: Tensions begin to rise between the nations of Earth.
2011: Fossil Fuel prices go through the roof; Nations begin to buckle under their own needs and damands.
2012: The United States of America, Canada, and Mexico combine into one country and form the Western Consortium.
2013: Soviet uprisings begin to happen in Russia; China seizes oppertunity to expand and aids the Rebels by supplying them with weapons.
2016: Russia falls to Soviet control.
2017: Western Consortium adds Central and South America to the Consortium. China, Russia, Japan, and Germany form the Eastern Empire.
2018: Eastern Empire begins attacking and taking over Middle East with almost no casualtys, Western Consortium. sends relief supplies to Britain and France as their economys begin to fail.
January 2022: Eastern Empire completely takes over the Middle East and moves to take over Italy and France.
April 2022: France requests assistance from Britain and the Western Consortium; both come to assistance immediatly. World War 3 begins.
2024: The two sides cannot push each other away; France and Italy become warzones.
2026: Middle Eastern Insurgancy is formed; begins gurrila warfare against Eastern Empire.
2028: Eastern Empire threatens nuclear war; Western Consortium comes to terms with Eastern Empire and puts down the Insurgants in the Middle East.
2040: After long tensions, Western Consortium and Eastern Empire combine to form the Earth Alliance due to one common goal: resources.
2041: It is discovered that 70% of the Earth's total resources have been completely burned off, and only 15% Remains usable due to war.
2042: The Interstellar Earth Forces are formed to try and find hospitable worlds.
2050: The Earth works together to produce the first five ships to explore the Galaxy with the experimental "Jump Drive." The IEF Pegasus, The IEF Liberty, The IEF Taisho, The IEF Pation, and the IEF Venture.
2052: The crews for the ship are picked and assembled; take-off of the five ships will begin very shortly.

The current day is launch day. In ten minutes, the five legendary ships shall be launched into space to try and find a world where Humanity can start over. It is up to these five ships, and the brave men and women on board them, to try and save Humanity from self-destruction. Their objective is to find new life and a new World, lush with life and resources to allow Humanity to survive.


It isn't finished as I have said, and I would like ideas on how to improve upon it.

Well, I was going to bow out of this one, since I am already involved in a number of other RP's at the present, but this looks very interesting and workable. If you care to finish developing it and set up a thread, I would definitely be in.
Perhaps describe the ships and the advancement of technology in some detail and the RP could start with us aboard the ships and all that. Just an idea.

I've been very busy Kael. Lots of things have been going on with my life that have made me unable to do any work on this... Sorry. x.x
