MOBILITY REIMBURSEMENT

MANY MAJOR AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURES OFFER MOBILITY REIMBURSEMENTS ON MANY MOBILITY PRODUCTS THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED IN YOU "NEW" PURCHASE.  YES IT HAS TO BE A NEW PURCHASE.  FOR EXAMPLE GM MOBILITY REIMBURSES UP TO $1,000.00 FOR ANY MODIFICATION MADE TO YOUR VEHICLE.  I HAD HAND CONTROLS INSTALLED IN OUR NEW SURBURBAN WHICH RAN $795.00 AND GM REIMBURSED THE DEALER.  SOME DEALERS WILL TRY TO MAKE YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE MODIFICATION AND SOME WILL WORK IT INTO THE CONTRACT.  MAKE THE DEALER DO THE FOOTWORK FOR YOU.  DO THE RESEARCH AND GET AN ESTIMATE ON WHAT IT WILL COST TO HAVE THE MODIFICATION DONE.  TELL THE DEALER TO ADD THAT AMOUNT TO YOUR CONTRACT AND THEN TAKE IT OFF AS A REBATE.  LET THEM FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK AND SEND IT IN TO BE REIMBURSED. THAT'S PART OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.   IT WOULD TAKE YOU 8 - 12 WEEKS TO GET THE REBATE BACK.  HOPE THIS HELPS.

P.S.  IF YOU ARE DISABLED YOU DO NOT PAY SALES TAX ON THE PURCHASE OF A VEHICLE.

R.J.
