on last Sat, the Creditor Interchaning collection agency keep calling me. They called me 9:41, 9:42, 9:43,9:44,9:45 and 9:49. I would like to know is it legal to called me that much within a hour? They said is not a commerical call and that guy yelled at me that I hang up his phone call. I would like to know can I file a complaint in new york city? Thank you |

Absolutly you can file a compaint with the FTC (federal Trade Commission) also next time they call say you want to exercise your civil rights and ask them to stop calling you and to send you everything in the mail. If they want to confirm your mailing address tell them that if they are legit then they should have your info and hang up on them. If they do send you something in the mail just reply with the letter i have posted on the credit article at www.adviceontime.com Hopefully this will help you! I know they can be a real pain. |

Yes, you still complain it is your right to not get bothered via phone, if your in a debt settlement plan you can fix your credit you can probably remove the accounts that your not paying in your plan. you can do this two ways first you want to go to our main page www.adviceontime.com and look for the hyper link that states free credit report so that you can see what accounts are on your report. Then pick the ones that you want to delete from your report, then you can either use the free letter on this page http://www.adviceontime.com/Credit%20Talk.htm or you can use the law firm that we recommend on that page. The law firm is actually cheaper than sending letters yourself. Each letter that you send will run you about 5 bucks just on postage alone, because you want to mail them certified mail other wise the credit bureau will say they never received it. The law firm has a plan for about 19 bucks a month so out weigh your costs but either method will work. I hope this helps you out bud. |
