~~~Don't kill him...you might need him
for something over the weekend...
Get on the phone & order whatever food you feel
like having tonight.  Then call him & tell him where to
pick it up. How many peeps?  Would a platter or two from
the supermarket cover it?  He's probably already stoppin'
somewhere for the beer, isn't he?
When his *guests* arrive, stay put with the leg elevated and
enjoy it while they all wait on you.  I say 'milk' this one as much
as you can, and most of all enjoy your weekend too!
He probably thinks he's *safe* surrounded by
your friends...if he hesitates doing what you want...
remind him they have to go home sometime tonight. Twisted Evil
Seriously, *TG*~plz relax and enjoy your weekend...
All excellent advice, KT.  My DH doesn't really do that with regular peeps but occasionally with his dad or even his mom and it makes me crazy (cuz they live way too close).  I need warnin' so I can *clean smell* at least the bathroom!
Oh, wow. I can't remember what I did but one time this happened and Dh won't ever do it again.   Now he will call and and we put a game plan together on house 'sprucing' and food.  Otherwise, no go.
Neither one of us are huge entertainers, actually, we just don't like people.
I just asked him and he said  because it freaks me out to do last minute guests and he only wants to have people in if we can enjoy ourselves.   See.....Mac is alive and well in my dear hubby!
KT is right.  Try not to knock yerself out.  If you gotta do it then make the best of it.  Order in if you can.  Hide as much as possible and then sweep.  Sweeping is important.
~~~*TG*, they really believe it, and
they really believe we will *buy* it.

It's like duct tape to them.
My DH thinks he can *fix* anything with it.
I've been known to hide it!

Spoiler:

However, there are a few things he does
really well that have always been hard to resist...

And some of them believe that it's the only thing in the world that's going to get them over the *depressed* feeling of the football season being over.  Prozac, darlin', in the large economy-sized bottle.  Get some.

And when did....

Spoiler:

Valentine's Day = sex

That's a new one this year.  Must be the way the moon and the stars lined up between the end of football and February 14.  Apparently, we measure all of life by the football yardstick in this house.

He wouldn't watch the Pro Bowl in protest to the end of football season (I know, it makes no sense but he's a guy).  I would ask him to switch over every now and then and then I gave up (I wasn't really interested but didn't mind a peek or two).  So was the wearing of *21* for the Redskins player that was killed the end of last year?

BTW ~ did yer DH show up with all the peeps on Friday?

I hear ya!!  Like my mom, The Queen of Clean.  You'd be amazed how fast I can wipe down the bathroom in the time it takes for her to get from her van into my house!  Walk slow, mom, walk real slow!

Not at this house.  I always figured my DH was unusual about this one.  It is never tied with his actions, just his emotions.  We have never had "make-up sex" and it is never a bargaining tool.

We have just really enjoyed ourselves whenever the mood strikes but there isn't ever any motive behind it.

Of course, we are almost never angry with each other and we have only ever fought once.   When I get mad at him all he has to do is smile and hug me and I melt.   He thinks it is funny that I can't stay mad and he knows it.

I make us sound like an impossible couple but we really are great for each other.

We used to sleep naked all the time.  Not so much with the kids getting older but I always knew he wasn't happy about something I did or said when he came to bed with his underwear on.  Making himself 'emotionally' unavailable to me.

I, on the other hand, am as horny as a toad and never have any trouble gettin' busy.
