~~~Amy, here's *another* positive ripple
from your special day............
Quote:
Page 174
"As long as we can love each other,
and remember the feeling of love we had,
we can die without ever really going away.
All the love you have created is still there.
All the memories are still there.
You live on-in the hearts of everyone
you have touched and nurtured while you were here."
"Death ends a life, not a relationship."
Tuesday's with Morrie by Mitch Albom
...and I'd like to add this one...
Quote:
From page 81:
- "Everybody knows they are going to die,"
he said again, "but nobody believes it.
If we did, we would do things differently."
-So we kid ourselves about death, I said.
-"Yes. But there's a better approach.
To know you're going to die,
and to be prepared for it at any time.
That's better.
That way you can actually be more involved
in your life while you're living."
This *bonus* day we have today reminded me
of my grandfather who always told me:
"Live each day like it's your last"
~~~It's also a wonderful film:
Tuesdays with Morrie -- long trailer

It's a fantastic book and a wonderful movie (very true to the book), and I've long found comfort in Morrie's words, especially, "Death ends a life, not a relationship," and the first excerpt you quoted about living on in people's hearts. Thanks, KT!
