While cruising YouTube tonight after posting the Dean and Jenna clips, I stumbled across a song I'd never heard before, and it just SCREAMED "Mac and Rachel" to me. I know that the only way I'll ever have enough clips to make a Mac and Rachel video is if I can get some of the AOL clips.
I'm kind of on a creative high here lately, because I have literally six projects going at once, or at least ideas for six projects, and four of them have to do with AW...well five now that I have this kernel of an idea for a Mac and Rachel video. And I've gotten to make at least one video so far of all the other couples I like or love, and even though I didn't get to see much, I did really like what I saw of Mac and Rachel, but I didn't get enough scenes from SN to make a video of them. And I think that it would really work better for the song if I could use some of the 1980-81 clips with what little I have from 1989.
This one is a ways down on the list, obviously, but if you guys could give me basic instructions on how to do it, and if you're watching and there are any particular episode numbers you know of that have a lot of Mac and Rachel scenes, maybe you could give me those?
I'm so swamped with work, but at the same time, I've never been on this much of a creative high. I'm writing the Felicia and Lucas fic, and making notes on the Cass and Frankie fic, and the Ryan and Vicky fic. I'm debating with myself about what song to use for my next Cass and Frankie video, which won't be my next AW video. I do have two AW videos planned though: one is a tribute to Lucas after his death, the other is about Dean and Jenna. I'm still brainstorming my second Jake and Paulina video. I have the songs picked out for these three. And then there's Men in Trees. I have songs picked out for season 2 overall (like I did "A New Day Has Come" for the theme of season 1) from Marin's POV, for Jane and Plow Guy in season 2; for Eric and Sara in seasons 1 and 2; and I'm debating between three songs for a Marin and Jack video. So I'm adding the Mac and Rachel video to the list tentatively, and I've also been thinking lately, after seeing the scenes with Ryan and Carl (and there are some truly amazing scenes with Ryan and Spencer that I'll be posting tomorrow night at YT), that I might do a video about Ryan. I have the song picked out. I have a theme based on that song.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. But the first thing I need to know is this: is it even possible to save the AOL episodes to your hard drive, or to a CD-R or CD-RW? It would have to be one of those two if I were to grab clips for a Mac and Rachel video.

The way I do it is by usin' Real Player...When you download the lastest version, it's made easy!!
After ya have it, everytime you watch a vid(anywhere...AOL, YT ect...) box pops up at the top of the vid askin' ya if you want to download it...One click & a few secs later, you have it!! Too Cool!! Then ya can save it to CD-R, CD-RW or DVD(if yer computer lets ya)
I know Chase & some the others know different ways, but Real Player has been the easiest for me!
