Since I have only been watching "faithfully" for a few weeks now, I don't know the character of Jerome very well but it seems like they are fleshing him out a bit and I am thoroughly enjoying him.

I think you mean Jane, not Marin. Jane's the one who's married to Sam (Plow Guy). Marin is Anne's character, and she and Jack are living together but not married yet.

And it WAS both--they got it right. Season 1, "Bed, Bat and Beyond." Marin had a bat in her outhouse and a bear broke into the living room.
