Yes, being civil to someone and being friendly to someone are different. It's a fine line, I think.
I'm not big on violence unless it's absolutely necessary, you're right. There will be a few instances of violence in some of the stories, but in one case it's a fight for survival; in another it's a fit of anger; and in the third, if you can even count it as violence, it's trashing a room because the person who's doing the trashing is overwhelmed with fear and worry.

Kelsey jumps in first, then Dennis, then Sarah and Iris. Everyone is so shocked that the four of them are in the pool in their wedding clothes, but the first one to snap out of it is Vicky. When Marley realizes Vicky is heading for the pool, and pulling Ryan after her, Marley grabs Jamie's hand, so it's basically a race between the two sisters as to which of them and her husband will get into the pool first. Jake and Paulina quickly follow, as does Rachel. Matt is the last one in the pool.

You're right--Jake and Paulina will be featured briefly, and Jake will tell Vicky part of the problem, but he won't yet know that Paulina is pregnant because the Jake and Paulina story starts with Paulina telling Rachel she's pregnant and doesn't know who the father is, Jake or Joe. Rachel vows to support Paulina no matter what. And things go from there, as Paulina tells both men, and the pregnancy progresses. So Jake and Paulina will be in the Ryan and Vicky fic, but only a little.
I would like to know some things about the Cass and Frankie fan fiction.

You're right. Jamie and Ryan will be in the Cass and Frankie fanfiction, but each in a professional capacity, as one of Frankie's doctors (Jamie), and the police commissioner (Ryan). We won't be seeing/hearing from Marley or Vicky in this story. And yes, Frankie does call Ryan from her cell phone after leaving the "just in case" message for Cass. Cass gets there before Ryan does, so Ryan ends up saving both Cass and Frankie's lives. Cass and Frankie are very reluctantly split up at the hospital--Jamie and Dr. Courtney Evans (Morgan's girlfriend) tend to Frankie, while Morgan and John tend to Cass. They are reunited at the hospital after each of them is treated, though, and since they insist on going home, John, realizing he won't be able to talk them into staying (and Sharlene, who is working at the hospital, is there when Cass and Frankie are brought in as well, and takes their side, understanding why they want to go home) agrees, as long as someone stays with them to take care of Charlie so they can rest. Felicia volunteers to do that.
Speaking of Felicia, I've finally started working on the next part of "Reclaiming Forever." I know it's slow going, and I appreciate everyone hanging in there. I'm hoping to have the next part finished and posted by next week. I'm not sure when I'll finish "Reclaiming Forever," but after I do, the next fic I write will be the Cass and Frankie fic.
Since, you're talking about fathers. What kind of father is Jake? Is he protective of little Mack and indulgent given his own poor, hard-luck upbringing or does he want Mack to be independent and self-reliant like a McKinnon?

Jake encourages Mack's independence, and Jake and Paulina both feel it's important that Mack learn to be self-reliant, but they also want him to know that he can come to them with anything, and they want him to know that he has a large extended family that he can count on--Grandma Rachel, Uncle Matt, even Aunt Iris and Uncle Jamie.
Since Paulina will be in a predicament of sorts regarding Mack's paternity. I'm curious as to her feelings for Jake upon his return because they will have slept together (welcome back sex?), which is a reason for her uncertainty on who fathered her baby. Does she ask Jake for more time to sort out her feelings for him and Joe? Jake does give Paulina time, but I'm sure he's not sitting idle at this time. Is he working on opening his own business?

Yes, Jake and Paulina do sleep together after he comes back, but since she also at that time had recently slept with Joe, she isn't sure who the father is. Rachel is actually the first person she goes to and tells everything to, and Rachel is supportive. Paulina asks both Jake and Joe for time to sort out her feelings for both of them. They give her that time, but they're also each trying to win her love, and they end up getting into lots of snarky exchanges and, at one point, a fistfight that has to be broken up by several people during a party at the Cory Mansion, and which ends with Rachel throwing them both out after the fight is broken up. The fight is a turning point for Jake more than it is for Joe; after seeing how upset and humiliated Paulina is about the fight, Jake really starts working on becoming the man Paulina has always seen in him. And yes, he's also re-establishing his own business at this time. Joe is still the police captain, but instead of dying, Ryan is promoted to Police Commissioner, so he is "the commish," Joe is "the captain," and Josie and Gary are on the force (although I don't really know anything about Gary except that he's a recovering alcoholic, so Josie and Gary's involvement in fanfic will always be in a supporting role, and in all but one case, in some kind of professional capacity).

Marley and Jake really only see each other when everyone is gathered at the Cory Mansion. They do have a moment in the Jake and Paulina fic, though, after Mack is born and everyone knows that Jake is his father, where Marley congratulates Jake on the birth of his son and on finally being a father. Jake thanks her and replies that she is just as wonderful a mother as he always knew she would be, and he's happy for her, that she has the life she always wanted.

I haven't really thought about that, but I could see Jamie, Matt and even Iris having opinions on who Paulina should be with, especially after the Jake vs. Joe fistfight at the mansion where they have to be physically separated and then they both get thrown out. Rachel lets the other kids know that this HAS to be Paulina's decision, though, and that whatever that decision is, they have to respect it.

You mentioned that Danny will crash both professionally and personally with Jessie, but they will fall in love with each other. How does he crash both professionally and personally with her? You also mentioned that Danny would bring his parents for a visit. I heard that Rick and Jamie were friends a long time ago. I read that Jamie loved Marianne a long time ago and was involved with her. I assume that Jamie and Marley mostly would be in this fan fiction. Would Jamie and Marley ever interact with Danny and/or his parents?
