Yes, Danny Halloway would clash both personally and professionally with Jessie Frame. Personally, they get off on the wrong foot when they first meet. Professionally, Danny is very detached and doesn't have much of a bedside manner, whereas Jessie is very involved with her patients, one in particular that is the source of much of her professional arguing with Danny. Rick and Marianne do come for a visit, and they do meet Jessie, Marley, and Steven, and see Jamie. And yes, there will be interaction between Jamie and Danny, Marley and Danny, and also Steven and Danny in the story even before Rick and Marianne's arrival.

This sounds like we get to see the new Bay City generation of Corys, McKinnons, Hudsons, Frames Winthrops, Loves, and Harrisons became adults. Do we see all the children of Ryan, Vicky, Jake, Paulina, Cass, Frankie, etc. become teenagers as well? This is something we'd all be seeing right now, which I lament not seeing because it WAS what AW did so well on the show.

I have been thinking about it. I'm slowly working on the stories for the main adult characters (I have notes going on about five stories right now). And in the case of the

potential story for Jessie Frame and Danny Halloway, besides the parents and grandparents playing a part in that story, I also have plans for Steven Frame and Sarah Wheeler to be part of the story--Jessie's big brother, and her best friend.
That being said, if I don't write actual stories about all of the kids, I would at least write some kind of summary about what happened to all of them

though I have my own ideas about what happened to Charlie Winthrop, Wally Winthrop, Kirk Harrison, Gregory Hudson, Mack McKinnon, Steven Frame, Lucas Frame, and a few others who have yet to be born or at least mentioned in terms of what they grew up to be, and, in some cases, who they ended up falling in love with. I'm very taken with the character of Rick Halloway in the 1981 AOL episodes, and I think having him and Marianne have a son who's a doctor, who would clash both professionally and personally with Jamie and Marley's doctor daughter, has a lot of potential as a story.
Right now, here's what I'm looking at in terms of the stories:
Felicia and Lucas--currently being written
Cass and Frankie--lots of notes, will be written after Felicia and Lucas
Ryan and Vicky--after Cass and Frankie, and it's Anne's Vicky
Jake and Paulina--after Ryan and Vicky, and I will allude to the setup for the Jake and Paulina story in the Ryan and Vicky story
Dean and Jenna--I know I'm writing them a wedding, at least; I'm considering another story for them as well
John and Sharlene--probably after Jake and Paulina, as I also have lots of notes here
Michael and Donna--again, lots of notes, probably after John and Sharlene
In theory, why would Danny Halloway choose Bay City General hospital to work at? Do Rick and Marianne ever tell him about Bay City? Or is it coincidence that Danny gets a job at Bay City General and move to Bay City? Would Danny learn that Jessie has a lot of family and friends living in Bay City? I don't expect that he would meet all of her family and friends who live in Bay City?

Amy, do you still have some of those fanfics that you wrote over at Soapnet? I am trying to remember who wrote the ones involving Donna and Michael, before the new Frankie and Cass ones came along. I think this was before the pairing of Frankie and Cass on the show. I had to ask cause I was wide awake at 2am, and I was raking my brain trying to remember what all you had written over at Dopenet.
Yes, I do still have some of the Michael and Donna fic I wrote over at SN, Janie. I'm planning to rewrite some of it, now that I have a better grasp on all of the characters. I barely knew them at that point, and I think I can make the story better in the rewrite.

Danny will know that his parents used to live in Bay City. He chooses Bay City because that's where he can get the best training. He slowly learns just how big Jessie's family is, although in the story he's only dealing directly with Jessie, Jamie, Marley, Steven, and Sarah. So he'll hear about Vicky, Ryan, Michael, Donna, and the rest, but he won't actually meet them.
Richard Bekins is my favorite Jamie, and Russell Todd is a very close second, so yes, I'll still see RT's version of Jamie in the stories. And actually, he'll be mentioned in several of them, now that you bring him up: Jamie will make appearances in the Cass and Frankie fic; the Ryan and Vicky fic; the Jake and Paulina fic; and the Michael and Donna fic. Anne's Marley will appear in all but the Cass and Frankie fic.
