In checking out the *Stardish Radio* website that Linda will be at on June 3, I found this May 15 radio interview with Judi Evans ~

It's over an hour long that bounces all over the place and includes peeps calling in and internet questions. It started off slow and then I couldn't take notes fast enough to share with you guys and then at Minute 53 a guy calls in and asks her about....TOMMY!!!! And Joe Barbara and whether or not she keeps in touch with anyone from AW. She says some great things about TE and how no one has ever challenged her (as an actor) like he did. I you had a scene with him, you had better bring "your A game.* She misses his energy (as does the caller) and last she heard he was in Northern California. The caller even mentions LD (Squeee!) and how she said that b/c AW was filmed out in Brooklyn, they were like family. Judi agreed and said spent countless nights sleeping in her dressing room. One scene went on for 3 days and no one went home!!!
Among the topics covered ~
* Actors she would like to do a movie with (Willem DaFoe is her fave)
* She isn't crazy about reality shows (but her DH is!) cuz it takes away from what she does
* She prefers to hang out with her DH, Michael Luciano, and her son, who is now 12 years old
* She loves L&O and Lifetime and will take a peek on occasion at DOOL to see what her old castmates are up to
* When asked which EP's she preferred (JFP's name was thrown out by the interviewer), among those she liked were AW's Michael Laibson & Gary Tomlinson (he was a writer on AW and must be an EP now), Charlotte Savitch. She said that JFP *was nice* and sent something to her when her son was sick and she had to take a couple of days off. She talked about reading Chris Goutman's interview in SOD ~ the same interview I read on the plane coming back from LV ~ and how soap characters don't interact anymore.

And she talks about her fan club website ~ JudiEvans.net and how she trades recipes. Didn't Karina talk about that site? Judi said the she hadn't been on there in a couple of weeks (due to family illness).
Also, and I got really excited by this ~ the interviewer told her that there were some great YT vids with her that were created by the fans and they included music montages!!! Judi seemed very interested and said she would check them out!!! I thought of Amy and Karina.
I'm 73 minutes into the interview and it's continuing on. Judi is amazingly down to earth and I sooooo think she would love to join us here!! BTW ~ she loves to throw down the 4-letter words!!!
I don't think that at the time of Judi's interview (May 15), the interviewer knew that she would have LD on or she would have mentioned it to both Judi and the guy that called in to talk about TE, JB and other AW peeps.
The caller just brought up Judi's diet pill s/l and how Paulina ran over Kirkland!! His name is Brandon and he was on with Judi from Minute 53 to Minute 83. He was awesome cuz you could tell he watched our show!!
The interviewer just said that she would be watching Judi's YT vids the day after this interview aired on the radio! I love this woman!!
Whew...the interview is 85 minutes LONG!!!

Since I was writing and listening at the same time, I took too long to post this and the board timed me out and posted my thread as *Guest*.
I didn't get a chance to *Edit* or preview my post so the 4-letter word thing is misleading ~ Judi didn't use any words in the interview (she was sooo polite and *normal*) but she mentioned that she throws them out there.
Wendy ~ it was sooo awesome to hear Judi talk about yer boy and she calls him TOMMY!!!
Karina ~ have you heard this interview?

Yes, I did know about the interview, I posted a link to it on my board just a few hours after it aired. If you go to another page on Stardish, you can actually download the interview if anyone is interested in doing so (so you'll be able to do that with Linda's too!)...right now as I post, Judi's interview is the last one as you scroll down the page...

The recipe exchange as Judi mentions, was fun, and the particular cookie recipe she mentions in the interview was one posted by a friend of mine. Judi hasn't been around on her site for a couple of weeks. Although she posted and mentioned her father-in-law was well enough to hopefully come home from hospital, I think in that interview she speaks of her mother not being well either, so we haven't seen her around for a little bit. She is sure to return when she can!
I wasn't aware Linda was going to be on Stardish though, only learnt that right now!  If you keep an eye out and venture back to the Stardish site, the downloadable links for the interviews generally seem to be put up the day after the interview's original airing.

My pleasure, KT. I was soooo excited I couldn't type fast enough and then I wasn't sure where to put it cuz I had already posted LD's stuff in *Actors Corner." How come you couldn't sleep? Though, as women, I think it's just a fact of life most of the time. Hard to 'splain that to the DH cuz you know they don't have any trouble sleepin'!!
Yeah, Judi talks about her recipes and how she loves to use butter and sez "You could put butter on poop and it would taste good"  !!
I just learnt about Linda being on Stardish myself ~ and I never heard of Stardish before that!! Oh the things we learn from this board! Important things. Life-changing things. 
BTW ~ after the interview, I was curious about Judi (obviously, my AW focus has always been LD's world) so I went to the website mentioned and read all about Judi and also about Paulina since I was a little fuzzy on her tenure in Bay City. I didn't realize that JE was on AW from 1991 (or was it '92?) until 1999. That's a lot of nights spent in your dressing room!!! No wonder LD had a hard time leaving that last day and thought of her AW co-stars as a family. Only yer family gets to see ya without yer make-up and with bedhead!!

It wasn't hormonal this time. I'm worried about
Rocky licking&biting himself. The conehead thing just
didn't work out. Wish they'd given me the thing when
he 1st came home from surgery. He was too drugged
to care then.
As soon as I fired up the laptop, he plopped himself in
my lap, starting purring, & fell asleep.
Judi's interview was perfect. I could read the boards while
listening to the broadcast, and not disturb my furry li'l patient.
I loved hearing the joy in her voice. Judi is a special gal!
After listening all the way thru once, I kept draggin it back
to hear the last 40 mins over again. I was grinnin' when she
talked about Tommy. I can only imagine what *TG* will do .

Wasn't the second half of that interview just the best? Judi did sound very happy and just plain content. None of that *diva* stuff for her. Didn't you love Brandon? Sounds like the interview gal is into ABC soaps & Brandon was able to chime in about Judi's tenure on NBC. I plan on listening to it again when I have some alone time (you know, middle of the night when I can't sleep). The DH was irritated with me cuz I kept listening ~ I couldn't figure out how to pause it until at least an hour into it (yep, 'puter stupid). Can't wait for LD's interview, especially since I can go back and listen later.
Is Rocky doin' better? When Squeaks pulled of his *kitty* bandages, we put some loose gauze and that first aid tape around his paws to try to keep them dry and clean (especially cuz of the litter box). But you know he chewed that off too. Have spent many a sleepless nights worrying about my furbabies too. Very cute that he plopped on yer lap and fell asleep. Squeaks keeps jumping on the desk her and headbuttin' me. 'Course he's all loud about it so the DH yells "Are you on there again?" Hey, can't help it if there's activity on a Saturday!! That hardly ever happens!!
I soooo can't wait for Wendy's reaction!!!

Judi's first AW scene aired July 1991. She had a good run on AW, which obviously would have gone on for longer if not for AW's cancellation.

I think it was a saving grace Brandon rang in, before that I felt the interviewer was struggling just a little because her 'Judi knowledge' wasn't so extensive. And you're right, Judi just doesn't come across as the Diva type at all. She's so relaxed, and never separates herself from us 'common folk', LOL!

Have you seen/heard the footage from the Hartford, Connecticut event Judi appeared at back in March? It was a DAYS event but someone in the audience asked Judi about Tommy there too. She spoke of how she hasn't seen tommy since AW ceased production, but then went on to speak further about what he has done since, and various things gone on in his life. I honestly can't remember whether I mentioned anything about it at the time, or whether anyone else mentioned it on this board. Gosh, real life has been so hectic lately, and that together with my board has meant I've not had the chance to pop in here as often.

I actually met JE at a local health expo that the DFW NBC station was doing, and she was very nice and outgoing...took a bunch of snaps. I didn't remember to ask about JB, but I did ask about Tommy because I'd seen so many board postings about him and what could he be doing. She didn't come out and say she did/didn't see him again after AW, but she'd heard he was involved in real estate in northern CA. I figured from that, that somebody's Tommy had given up acting...didn't know he was in the process of making the new movie that I've already forgotten the name of (  ).
Wow, can't imagine doing the same scene for 3 days. And sleeping in a dressing room. That would wear me out, I think. But then again, you have a great support group (SS, LD, VW, AS, DW, etc.) around you--I guess it makes it bearable.
Austin is really **12** ?!? Holy crap. That means it's already been 4 years since the expo. Does time really have to fly when you have fun or dish about AW?? |

Never heard of *Stardish Radio* myself until Amy sent me the LD info. Now I got it flagged in the favorites.
I hope someone calls in and asks LD some good stuff. Me too chicken to call, plus the DH will be home. Hmmm...maybe I should do like Meg Ryan did in Sleepless in Seattle where she went into the kitchen and locked herself in the broom closet while talkin' with the DJ on the phone!
