Part 1
(The story takes place in the cellar at the Harbor Club)
Jake: DON'T SHUT THE DOOR!!!
SLAM
Paulina: Why??
Jake: Cuz SweetPea, the door doesn't open from the inside!
Paulina: Don't call me SweetPea!
Jake: Fine, cuz right now I can think of a few other words I'd like to call ya!
Paulina: Oh Jeez Jake, calm down, I'm sure th door opens...Why the hell won't this door open???? Who's bright idea was it to install a door that doesn't open from the inside???
Jake: Donna wanted to make sure if anybody ever broke into the cellar, she would be able to catch them.
Paulina: Oh, this is GREAT...You planned this didn't you?!?!?!
Jake: Planned this??? Are you serious????
Paulina: Yes Jake, I'm serious!
Jake: C'mon, why would I plan to get locked in this cellar with you???
(Paulina gives a sideways look toward Jake)
Paulina: Uh, isn't that what you do Jake?? Jeez, how many times have we been in this situation??
Jake: 1st of all, you're the one that wanted to come down here to get some wine for Joe...2nd, you're talkin' ancient history Paulina, maybe in the past I might've "planned" a situation like this, but I'm happily married to Vicky....OMG VICKY!!
Paulina: What?????
Jake: Vicky is gonna KILL ME!!
Paulina: Vicky is NOT gonna kill you...I'm sure she'll understand things like this happen...To us anyways
(Jake's eyes get very big)
Jake: Are we talkin' about the same girl??
Paulina: Look Jake, I know in the past Vicky would've gone Berserk if we were in the same room together, but she's changed alot since the twins were born
Jake: Oh, that's easy for you to say, you're married to Joe...Vicky's more complex than that...Sure Vic's changed,. but that's cuz she's hasn't been put in this kinda situation in a long time...She's gonna totally blame me...
Paulina: That sez alot Jake
Jake: STOP IT PAULINA, I did NOT do this on purpose!
Paulina: ....and don't say Joes name like that!!!
Jake: Like what???
Paulina: You know, with that condescendin' attitude of yours
Jake: Condescendin' attitude??
Paulina: Is there an echo in here??
Jake: Look, we gotta find a way to get outta here NOW!
Paulina: Ok Ok, get your panties outta a wad...We just gotta think.....................................................................
(Paulina smacks her head)
Paulina: Use you cell to call Donna!!
Jake: Can't call Donna, she's gone with Vic to take the kids to Niagara Falls
Paulina: So, give it to me & I'll call Joe
(Jake searches thru his pockets)
Jake: Remember when I tried to call Vic right before we came down here??? I laid it on the bar...
Paulina: You're still a loser Jake
Jake: Excuse me, why why don't you use yours??
Paulina: I would, but Joe has it...he dropped his in the pond
Jake: Dropped it in the pond??
Paulina: There's that echo again
Jake: ....Doesn't he have some kinda Police Issue phone he can use??
Paulina: Forget it Jake, you're NOT gonna switch the blame to me!!
Jake: Arrrrgggggg, I give up!
(Jake sits down on a crate while Paulina starts clutchin' her throat)
Jake: What?? Plannin' on strangelin' me this time?? Careful Paulina, I might not be such a nice guy this time!
Paulina: i can't breathe....
Jake: Speak up Paulina, I can't hear you
Paulina: .....not funny...Jake....can't breathe...
(Jake jumps up & runs to Paulina & holds her)
Jake: I swear honey, I didn't do anything
Paulina: runnin'....outta....oxygen....
(Jake drops Paulina to the floor & stands over her)
Paulina: Owww Jake!!!!!!!!!
Jake: We're NOT runnin' outta air Paulina...The room is air conditioned & vented!
Paulina: We could be, Jeez, you talk enuff!!
Jake: Me talk??? You haven't stopped blabberin' since we got in here!!
(Paulina picks herself up off the floor)
Paulina: Well Einstein, wht's your big plan for gettin' us outta here???
Jake: Me??? Why do I have to figure it out??? Oh, that's right, it's MY FAULT!! You're the one that wanted to come down here, you go figure it out!!
Paulina: Ya know Jake, the next time you take a gurl to the cellar, ya need to make sure she's knows the door locks from the outside!! Duh...This is Bay City, why would anybody in their right mind have a cellar door that locks from the outside?!?!?!
Jake: Well Miss Smarty Pants, Donna keeps her safe in here & I guess she thought it would be good security!
Paulina: Ok Ok Ok Ok, so it probably is a good idea...What are we gonna do Jake???
(Jake scans the room)
Jake: THEVENTS!! We can climb thru the vents!!
Paulina: Oh no Buddy, I'm NOT climbin' anywhere!
Jake: (very sarcastically) Ok, then pick me up so I can reach it
Paulina: Fine Jake, boost me up, but you better hope you find another way out cuz I'm NOT comin' back to get you!!
Jake: Just come here so I can pick ya up
(Jake wraps his arms around Paulina's waist to lift her up)
Paulina: Watch it buddy, I'm keepin' my eye on you
Jake: How bout keepin' your eyes on the vent sweetie
Paulina: Ummm Jake, we might have a problem
Jake: Don't start Paulina, I wanna get outta here as bad as you...See if you can take the cover off & climb thru it
Paulina: Jake, are your arms gettin' tired???
Jake: Yeah, maybe a little so hurry up!!
Paulina: I don't know if you're aware of this, but we're not exactly as fit & trim as we use to be
Jake: Speak for yourself, I'm Hot!
Paulina: Well hotstuff, you wanna tell me just how you think we are gonna get thru this tiny vent openin'???
(Jake lets Paulina slide back down to the floor...Their eyes meet...)
Jake: We're doomed
Paulina: Smartest thing you've said all day Jake
Part 2's in my head, jes gotta find time to write it down!

Squeeeee!!! Dat was great!! I had a big ole smile on my face dat bordered on a giggle da whole time!!! LOVE Jake & Paulina!!! They shoulda ended up together. Jake & Vicky was nice too but you don't have to marry yer BFF ~ jes look at Felicia & Cass. They are gonna end up two old peeps together too, jes not married.
OMG!! Dat gives me an idea! I need to send Felicia's boy-toy back to Mother Russia and get her a new man!

Did you really like it??? Kinda hard to get the JakeJake & Paulina *Attitude* down in print...Course, I guess if ya watched enuff of them, you can hear how they said every word & see the reaction on their faces!!
I was helpin' the DH at the shop last night...Ok, wasn't really helpin' cuz he was weldin'...Even tho he really really wants me to hold onto the things he's weldin', I'm not ready to find out if skin will weld to metals!!
...And the story jes came to me...had it in my head all night!!
And the DH thought I was smilin' cuz I like the way he welds...lol!

Not sure if it was spellchecked or not ~ seemed fine to me.
Yeah, I could seriously hear their voices ('course I do hear little voices in my head all da time). I almost posted that I could hear Judi's throaty voice as she was talkin' to him the whole time!

Luv the fanfic with Jake and Paulina, Wendy. I am curious to see how you have Paulina dump Joe, does Jake run over him with his bike?? Nah, that would be too messy, fun but messy.

I was gonna just say that I done flat out wore Amy down with my MitchLove but I like *KG's* take on it better!! I forgot all about dat picture of Jasmine!! LOVE IT!! I'm gonna have to make that one of my avatars.

Well, Felicia needs somebody, and she did love Mitch, and Mitch did love her (I'd like to see Carl respond to Mitch panting after Raschell; that would just be all kinds of fun!), and I'm giving her back Luke, so I guess I figured instead of coming up with somebody new for her, you'd rather come up with ways to reunite her with Mitch.

 Yeah, can you imagine getting the script and seeing that some 25 year old hottie is gonna be spending his workday drooling over you (and you get a paycheck to boot!). Ya know, it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it.
 
And actually, from the articles I've read ~ actor Jonathan Sharp did just that. He adored working with Linda (and visa versa) and it sounds like they had a good time with the material they were given.

I just stumbled onto this site and this fan fiction. I SO miss the show and the interaction between Jake and Paulina. They were my favorite couple and I was not at all happy with how things ended between them. Makes me wanna create my own.
