We haven't had a Life Lesson in a while (since Wendy  WE MISS YOU GURL!!) so thought I would share one that I learned today ~
 
If you have a Jade plant, make sure that the Ant Family has not made it's home between the pot and the saucer. I had been noticing that my Jade was starting to die and dropping shriveled sticky leaves so decided to pitch it. I took the pot outside, noticed ants in the bottom and hosed it down. Came back inside and found an ENTIRE ANT COLONY WITH EGGS sitting in the saucer!!! Ick!!! Not sure if the ants were the reason the plant was dying but I know that the plant was their was the source of the sticky sweet food.
BTW ~ if you thought that an ant was crawling on your screen, yer not alone. I posted the stupid *ant picture* and I thought it was crawling on my screen!
