...or those with S/O's ~

Where does yer guy put all his "stuff?"  You know, the change, nails, gum wrappers, lint  Shocked , whatever it is that men carry around in their pockets then just "dump" on the counter, table, night stand, dresser.

A while back I bought this set of multi-size baskets (all matching) for the second BR where the DH dumps his stuff.  Today was the day I decided to tackle his stuff and it was like he was hoarding every little scrap of paper, receipt, nail, rubberband and cough drop he's ever touched.  His change jar has overflowed into another container.  Are those fishing lures?  Ummm...don't tell me that's a burnt out night light bulb!!  DUDE DOESN'T THROW ANYTHING AWAY.  JUST HOARDS IT!  I just dumped it all into a decent-sized basket (decorative, of course, LD would be proud) with a note to self:  Make the DH go thru and dump his stuff.  I'm not touchin' it.  I might end up throwing away precious 3-year old breath mints.

A  Question

~~~First, I'm a packrat too so I understand...However,
all the stuff I *retain* has logic&reason attached to it.  Wink
Basically, DH considers any flat surface in the house "fair game".
We have baskets & cute boxes stacked up in every corner
waiting to be *gone through*.  We're hopeless.
*NG*, you got me with the "mints".  DH went on a team building
thingy from work in 2003.  I found a little roll of mints last week
from that trip in his nightstand drawer.  As he walked by I handed
them to him & said "Here, plz throw these out...".
They are still in the drawer.  He actually believes he may want to  'eat them one day'.
George dumps everything on the computer desk!   Or on the kitchen table!  The piles of newspapers are what kill me!
Junior has a drawer in the hutch that is all his.  Totally out of sight.  He then uses the table that has his computer on it for his papers ect.  He doesn't really hoard stuff like some of you'alls boys. Wink  Just keys, phone, change, expense reciepts, toys he is supposed to fix.....
Let's see Vance will dump his change, wallet, inhaler, and keys on the kitchen cabinet, and heaven forbid someone actually moves them!!  Sometimes he has also been known to empty his pockets on the dresser on his side of the bed.  But some of the business cards he carries with phone numbers on them can turn up anywhere!
I, on the other hand either dump my keys on the stairs or when we had our old front door, on the nail on the back of the door.  Us dysliexs like routine, and that was my routine.  If they weren't there, I was sweating.  Vance thinks I am weird for where I like my keys to be at, but that way, they are easy to grab in the morning rush to get out the door, especially with three kids in tow!
I throw all the DH's crap(I mean stuff) away as soon as it leaves his pockets...I do mean EVERYTHING! I even threw his shop key away(can't figure out why it wasn't on his keychain so it's all his fault) & had to have a spare from the spare made.
My stuff is different..It's important!
There's a place for everything, jes not the DH's stuff...lol! Razz
