Several soap blogs are reporting that starting Tuesday, July 29, hulu.com will have AW reruns starting with the last SoapNut ep, the May 10, 1991 show. This is IN ADDITION to the AW eps on AOL. This is NOT a late April-fool. Telenext Media, P&G's production partner, is providing them straight to Hulu. On top of this, those who like ATWT and GL will find their reruns on Hulu ALSO. GL's started Friday, July 25 (www.hulu.com/guiding-light) and ATWT eps will begin Monday, July 28. Their reruns will start with their June 1, 2007 eps. Several eps of all 3 will be listed to start with, then 3 more will be added each week.
Now, Bay City....twice as nice!!!!

TeleNext Media, Inc. announced on Friday its two long-running soap operas GUIDING LIGHT and AS THE WORLD TURNS, plus the classic soap opera ANOTHER WORLD, will be the first of the genre to make full episodes available for viewing on Hulu.com . Initially, viewers will be able to enjoy 18 full episodes of each show, with an additional three episodes going up on the site per week. GUIDING LIGHT will debut on July 25, 2008, AS THE WORLD TURNS on July 28, and ANOTHER WORLD on July 29.
"Our shows have always been media pioneers," said Brian T. Cahill, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of TeleNext Media Inc. "We were the first to transition from radio to television and the first to podcast. We are proud to be first here as well, and happy to do it with such a great strategic partner as Hulu."
Both GUIDING LIGHT and AS THE WORLD TURNS will debut on Hulu with episodes that originally aired on television on June 1, 2007 (on ATWT this was Noah's first episode). ANOTHER WORLD will debut with an episode that originally aired on May 10, 1991 and that is also the episode viewers last saw when the show more recently aired on SOAPnet (in the middle of the Cass/Kathleen/Frankie triangle and Anne Heche's last weeks on the show).
Now I have to figure out hulu.com before Tuesday!!!! WE NEED WENDY!!! Not only do we miss her Supreme Coolness but we need her JakeJake expertise!!!! And a '91 Epi's thread!! Man, I hope she's alright.

FYI ~
It's Super Easy to sign up y'all!!! I can't wait to start watchin' the '91 vids though I am also gonna have to try to keep up with the '81 vids as well cuz I want to know how things go so bad for Mitch & Rachel that he ends up in prison. And, of course, I want to see the arrival of Cass & Felicia.
I'm so excited about getting to watch the '91 epi's!!!!
I may have to devote my lunch hour to watchin' My Soap like in the old days!!!

Hey, there's already a Hulu page fixed up for GL
www.hulu.com/guiding-light
you can sample there how Hulu arranges each ep link, and how each plays. I know you can embed with Hulu but that's all I know. I've watched stuff on Hulu before, and they've all had commercials during the vids....don't know if they'll be doing that to us, or if there may be a work-around. |

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!
This is FANTASTIC!
Although I desperately DON'T want to see THAT WOMAN again! I got through that already, thanks! And once was plenty! Emotional brutality!
On the plus side, there'll be Judi's Paulina from the beginning, and the conclusion of Anne's run as Vicky and Marley.
Still, this is wonderful news!
I do plan to keep posting clips at YouTube, however, in case anyone was wondering.

I registered & ck'd out the site. The Hi-Res & Hi-Def looks great.
They have New Amsterdam available...anyone know the
titles of the epi's with SS &ABM??? I missed them on reg tv.
Now.....I hope Wendy learns the news asap. Since April 6, 2007 she has
been wishin' for her daily dose of Tommy to return.
I have been posting everywhere how much I wanted to see
Another World from the point where 'sn' left us hanging.

This is probably a good idea Amy, especially in the early stages in case anyone's having connection/other problems w/ Hulu. |

Well, so far, I checked the GL section...you can embed, share, watch from the site, send, and put up with commercials, but I don't yet see any downloading function..... |

Unlike AOL,there is no way that I have found to get hidden stream links from Hulu,even using the URL snooper program.
Hulu streams in the RTMP format,which can't be saved like the URLs at AOL.
What you could do,is connect a DVD recorder or VCR to your computer and record the episodes that way.
I posted instructions at the SoapWorld board on how to connect a DVD recorder to your computer..........

I tried that with an episode of Major Dad last night too, and I couldn't find a way to download it either.
