Frankie convinced John to re-hire Cass, saying that despite what was going on with them personally, Cass is still a great lawyer. Cass investigated Windswept with you-know-who on the 4th of July. John and Sharlene were also doing their own digging. John was cleared of all charges when John and Sharlene found the real Taylor Benson in Guadalupe--she had switched identities with a friend from medical school named Cindy Woods. Once they proved that, there was no case against John, so all charges were dropped. Cass and Frankie had a moment there where they were brought closer by the news.
