Congrats! to "The Amazing Race" for winning another Emmy Award!
~~~Just one question for the "academy"...Why wasn't Phil Keoghan
in that group hosting the show? Wasssup??
I'm glad Jeff won out of that pack, but I think Phil is the hardest working
and best host of the best competition reality program on the air.
You're #1 with me, Phil !
Looking forward to the premier next Sunday........
I think *AR* has won the Best Reality-Competition Program award every year (6 total now) since the category was introduced at the Emmys!!! And The Donald was none too happy back in the days when The Apprentice was nominated in the same category.
Congrats to AR again!!! Can't wait for Sunday!
p.s. Congrats to Jeff too.
Can't wait for the season premiere tonight! After watching the promo vid above, it's too early for me to pick out a fave team though I can tell that there are a couple of teams I hope DON'T make it . I had to do a bit more research on Anita & Arthur cuz she said if you come to the NW, you'll see more peeps like them! They're from Eugene, OR. And she's right! LOL!!!
No huge surprises in the premiere last night. Too soon to pick a fave though I don't think I can take too much more of Sarah. I liked her in the CBS promo but by the end of last night's epi, I was done with her. And it looks like she continues to annoy me next week. And what's with her *partner* Terence who said something like "I only want you to talk to/pay attention to me." WTF? Oh, and Ken, we don't need you to start every sentence with "When/After/Because I cheated on Tina...".
In an AR moment ~ the DH & I were trying to get to a destination based on some pretty flimsy directions the other night and we got totally lost ~ twice. The first time was his fault cuz he thought he *knew* where we were going and the second time was mine cuz I skipped a pretty important part of the directions. When we have a challenge like that (often times while traveling) I like to say to him "Let's purtend we're on Amazing Race." Friday was no exception. Two cell phone calls and many dead ends later, we end up where we're supposed to be with the homeowner and other guests waiting for us on the porch. We were laughing our @sses off.
So...while we were watching the Race last night, I again say to the DH "I think we should do this show" and he reminded me, ever so firmly, that we couldn't even find the house we were going to the other night. LOL Besides, we wouldn't have anything interesting for the show to put under our names like "Separated" "Beekeepers" "Newly Dating" "Long Distance Dating" "Frat Boys". I said all they could put was "Married Couple." B-O-R-I-N-G. One of my co-peeps tried out for Season 12 but didn't make it past the first interview. Hehe...karma.
I'm with you, KT ~ still no clear fave but plenty of *no ways* (like the divorcees or the bro/sis team).
Toni & Dallas seem to be steering clear of the *snark* and focusing on the race so right now I am leaning toward them.
As for the taxis, I think a lot of that has to do with editing ~ sometimes you can tell how close the competition really is (or isn't) by checking out the departure times when the teams get going again.
