FYI... This story was inspired by New Kids on the Block's song "Stare at You". It can be found on their 2008 album "The Block".

I miss "Another World" and the interaction between Jake and Paulina. Recently I stumbled onto old clips of them on YouTube (and this site!) and it sparked an interest to write this story. It is something that has been at the back of my mind ever since the show was canceled, but for it to work some changes have to be made. Changes that are required because I was not happy with how the show ended.
(1) Jake and Vicky were married, but they did not have Bridget and Michelle. They left Bay City for a new start in Lassiter. (There was no "As The World Turns"/Oakdale!) Was it "happily ever after" for the best friends or did one of them harbor secret feelings for an ex?
(2) There is no Remy Woods, the secret child that Paulina had at age sixteen. She just does not work for this story!
(3) Joe, Paulina and Dante planned to build and move into a new home. Building was never completed, as life for a Police Captain is never dull! If anything, it is life-threatening.

That is a problem that I have sometime. I get too into what I write. It is always easier for me to get into the character's minds if I envision them while working out the scenes.

I do the same thing...it all plays out in my head before I can write it down!! Durin' a day, I will constantly play sceens over & over in my head(my own lil torid sceens  )...I'll even do it when I'm havin' a convo with somebody...Like now, I'm in TommyLand

It just makes the story seem more real/believable if I can imagine the scenes playing out in my head. TommyLand is a good place to be. Wish that I could go there now, but I keep getting sidetracked while at work.
