Russ never bothered me that much. Just seemed a little stiff, like he had his knickers in a twist a lot. Olivia seemed to be his perfect genetic residue.
David Bailey was the only *Russ* I ever knew and I thought he was a handsome *older* man. Someone had him paired up with Felicia in a fan fic I read some time ago. I thought they would have made an interesting couple. Boring. But interesting.

Russ has a perpetually constipated look on his face in 1981, and then in 1989, he treated Sharlene and John like dirt, so I never could stand him.
Although if I had to choose between watching Russ and Faux Alice (especially THIS Faux Alice), I would watch Russ every time!

I always found it unfortunate how during Josie's last few years on the show she never mentioned her father. Regardless of the type of relationship she had with him she should have at least brought him up IMO. I was not watching the show in 1989 so it surprises me that Russ was not nice when you see him in 1981. In 1981 he seemed like the type of person everyone could go to for help and support. What made him change his personality in later years?
