Spoiler:

I'm surprised Rachel decided to leave Bay City. Her scenes with Mac proved they're far from over. Her scenes with Amanda were touching. Her scenes with Jamie were the best. Her scenes with Ada proved that Rachel isn't entirely certain about leaving Amanda behind to go to Mitch, but she's doing it anyway.

LOL moment: Marianne ended up alone! After Rick found out she had a date with Jamie, he un-invited her to Philadelphia, and then she decided to go out with Jamie, only Jamie went out of town for work, so the cheese stands alone. Poor Pat. "Mom, you should know me better than anyone else," Marianne says to Pat. Well, not when you keep changing your mind like you change your socks. At least Pat finally called Marianne out on her behavior by asking what's going on with her and Jamie, and whether or not she wants to try and work things out with Rick. Interesting how Marianne said she doesn't just fall in love, she decides she loves somebody. I'm glad Pat asked if that's what Marianne has done with Rick, and pointed out that Rick should never have been put on a pedestal in the first place. Pat gave Marianne a much-needed reality check. The question now is, will Marianne evaluate her actions, or keep stringing Rick along and chasing after Jamie?

Speaking of Jamie, looks like he managed to outsmart Blackhawk with that last picture. He apparently mailed it to Sandy before taking off for the subzero climate where he's going to be working. I hope Sandy gets it, although based on the cliffhanger, that may not matter so much anymore.

It was cute seeing Clarice so excited about going to Disney World, and I could sympathize with Larry--those rides make me sick too. I don't like anything more rambunctious than the carousel. I'd be on the sidelines too, only instead of corn dogs, I'd be eating cotton candy.

I'm starting to wonder how smart Rhonda is. She tells Jerry she might love him. Yikes! I hope the men with the guns in the liquor store don't derail the Ewing family's vacation to Disney World.

Steve Frame is a manipulative jerk! Sending Jamie and everyone off like that just to cover his own behind and keep his "master plan" intact? Totally an Adam Chandler move. I hope everybody's mad at him at first, including Rachel...who recognized him! That was quite the "HOLY CRAP!" cliffhanger. She sees him and says, "Steve?" I hope she nails him to the wall, and she was right to want answers from Jamie. Jamie could have at least taken 10 seconds to call Rachel and let her know he couldn't take her to the airport. I wouldn't trust the word of a too-smooth slimeball like Curtis Eldon either! It'll be interesting to see what happens next with Rachel and Steve. They HAVE to go back to that, don't they?

As a graduate of the Mitch Blake School of Photography (and yes, I took the course to get close to the teacher), I believe that there are 12, 24 and 36 "pictures on a roll of film."  If I'm mistaken, it's cuz I was paying more attention to the teacher than the content of the class (plus I prolly couldn't actually hear what Mr. Blake was mumbling).

~~~*NG*, thnx for letting us 'in' to one of your fantasies. Cool
Did you attend this class at the SFO college from '81?
Is there a ff in our future where we find out what really happened
to *Prof. Blake* on the left coast???
*AG*, I've always felt ABC was very lucky to snatch up
Robin Strasser and David Canary when they did.
I think RS' *Dorian* is very much like *Rachel*.
It seems from what I read {never watched AMC},
that *Adam/Stuart* is like the original version of *SF*.
During DC's ownership of the role, I never truly saw
*Steve*'s softer/gentler side.
AMC & OTLT definitely got the most from these two
Another World graduates!
OOOOOooooo KT ~ what an excellent idea!  '81 was such an "educational" year for moi anyway, perhaps I should pen the left coast adventures of *NG* (which would include how she made Prof. Blake forget all about what's-her-name).
RS & DC definitely made the most of their jump to ABC by creating two (or is that three?) of the most memorable characters in daytime.  RS is one of the reasons I continue to tune into OLTL on occasion.  Her Dorian always reminded me of Iris.  As for DC, I've never been much of an AMC fan, but since his reputation proceeds him, I've had the pleasure of seeing AC in action many times, either in a clip on an awards show or in some other medium.
There have been a few other AW alum that have ventured over to AMC & OLTL as well, though IMO, their characters were never in the same league as those they portrayed on AW ~
Laurance Lau & Kale Browne both portrayed Sam Rappaport on OLTL;
Alla Korot portrayed Allie on AMC (and I think her character married Jake Martin, who is now played by Ricky Paull Goldin);
Linda Dano portrayed Gretel "Rae" Cummings on all 4 ABC soaps (and I think Robin Christopher also bounced to all the soaps as Skye Chander);
Timothy Gibbs portrayed Kevin Buchanan on OLTL.
Did anyone notice Mac tell Rachel that the best years of his life were when Rachel lived with him.  That is like saying Alice is not as important to him.  I still don't get why Rachel left Mac.  He buys her that house and she still doesn't appreciate him.  Does she not realize men like Mac are very few and far between?  At least in the real world they are.
Amy I get sick on those wild rides too.  Not fun to be born with a weak stomach.  I have to agree more with Larry.  Corn dogs taste better to me than cotton candy.lol  I have mine with ketchup and not mustard.
When Rachel said "Steve" at the end of the show it let me know he did not have plastic surgery.  She would not have recognized him if he had.  Why didn't Jamie recognize him from that picture?  Surely Jamie has seen pics of his dad.
Nettie, I completely agree with you about the AW actors that went to OLTL.  Linda, Kale, Tim and John Bolger all played characters on OLTL that were not near as likable as their characters on AW.  It was funny when John played Linda's love interest on OLTL after he played her daughter's Lorna's love interest on AW.  Linda must have sure felt like a cougar.
Prefer corny dogs myself (known as Krusty Pups at the fair) with LOTS of yellow mustard.
Sharon ~ DER!!!  How could I forget John Bolger playing LD's love interest?  However, judging by this photo, I don't think LD was too upset over the coupling (and visa versa I'm sure since Bolger was been known to call LD just to hear her laugh).
BTW, not sure I would define LD/Rae Cummings as a *cougar* given that John Bolger is only 9 years younger than her.  However, if you think she's a cougar, then...
Spoiler:
  ...I am feeling so guilty Wink...
~~~My guilty fair food favorite is funnel cake.

The only 'ride' I cannot resist is a roller coaster.

Love the front car whenever I can get it.
{good way to get rid of the telltale powdered sugar
from the funnel cakes!}

I think Linda's cougar claws did their best work with Jonathan Sharp...

Continuing the side track ~

For me, no trip to the fair is complete without an ear of roasted corn ~

The days of riding the local roller coaster are long gone.  Thought my head was gonna jerk off the last time I rode the ancient beast.  The last *coaster* I rode was at the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, which I think has since been replaced.  And I swear I was totally sober.

Felicia & Sergei ~

I'm sure it was a tough job and I'm glad my gurl Linda was up to the challenge!  YEOW!!

I'd like to read your memoir about your photography class with Prof. Blake, Nettie! I bet you were even wilder in the darkroom than Felicia. Wink

Cotton candy for me. I just love it!

ITA, Sharon--Mac is so not over Rachel, and for that matter, Rachel isn't over Mac either.

It's revealed in 4397 exactly what tipped Rachel off that it was Steve Frame on the elevator.

Love your avatar pic, Nettie!
