· Quote

I'm sure that there is some concern that AOL hasn't posted any "new" episodes of AW,EON,SFT and Texas in over a week.
Since last week was Christmas, they took the week off, just like they did on Thanksgiving, but the episodes showed up the Monday after that.

That isn't the case this week,as they still haven't posted last week's episodes.
It is a possiblity that those episodes could show up later on this week, along with the episodes for this week.

However,New Year's Day is this week as well and AOL could be taking this week off as well,so if we get nothing this week,I wouldn't be concerned about it.
There is also the matter of AOL handing over the video management over to Brightcove in January,so that could be causing a delay as well.

Well, I knew that if I checked in here that I could find some answer even if I didn't want to hear it.

Chuck, I just went to AOL Video link that I have for the 80'81 epis.  It just shows the 91 now.  I can't seem to pull up any of the old ones.

I went there the other day and it showed epi 4412 but not 4413.  I wanted to just check because I thought maybe it had posted finally.

Since I have used your links for so long I haven't needed to go there and then to find out that they pulled ALOT of the old epi's.......they are still active because I am watching them using YOUR links....now they are "gone"

My fingers are crossed that you are correct and they are just making the transition.  When I wake up from this nightmare all will be right in my "World"

This URL still has one episode for each soap available........

http://video.aol.com/video-search/query/distributor%3A%22Procter%20&%20Gamble%20Productions%22%20sor t%3AmostRecent/familyfilter/1/type/standard

Although this does seem like a bad sign,I still don't think that is is.
A few months ago, this same thing happened for a day or two(with the link being removed on the main page).
AOL is probably experiencing a lot of technical issues with the upcoming switch to Brightcove players and content management.

The P&G classic blog is still up,so hopefully this is just a technical glitch.

I posted a comment there,so hopefully it will get a response.....

Ack!!!  This doesn't sound so good from the P&G Classic Soaps website ~

PGP CLASSIC SOAP CHANNEL

Effective 2009, Another World, The Edge of Night, Search for Tomorrow and Texas will no longer be streamed on AOL.

PGP appreciates the support of AOL and all of our loyal fans who loved and watched these shows during their most recent run. We are currently exploring other options in making these shows once again available for viewing and hope that that the break is only temporary.

Stay tuned for up-to-the-minute news and, in the meantime, please check out the 1991 episodes of Another World currently airing on Hulu.com!

This is very bad news, but it looks like they are working on moving the shows somewhere else. Maybe they will move it to Hulu? It was so great to have these classic episodes and it is a shame that they had to end it mid storyline.
