First of all, Welcome to the Board, *lhyndman*. I could see that you were signed in and was hoping that you would post something so that one of us could "officially" welcome you!
To answer your question ~ Yes , AOL has stopped adding new episodes of Another World. If you have not already done so, please see Chuck's post about the same subject under the *80's AOL videos* thread. Chuck is our resident 80's guru and has been graciously providing the links to the episodes all this time. I am sure when he finds out who/what/where/when starts airing the December 1981 and forward episodes again, he will let us know. Also, the P&G Classic Soaps website may also have the info.
I have my fingers crossed that someone picks up where AOL left off cuz I am totally hooked now too. I didn't see these episodes when they first aired due to living out of the country so I was loving getting the skinny on the beginnings of some of my fave characters ~ Rachel, Mac, Cecile, Mitch.
How about you ~ are you a *vet* or a *newbie?*
Also ~ the 1991 episodes are available at hulu.com (in the U.S. anyway, not sure about outside the U.S.)

I second that!!!!!!!!! AW will return (I hope)
Also, if you use Chucks links in your windows media player then they will STILL show up. I have been rewatching them.

I second that (about Chuck's links still working). I am up to the last two episodes to air on AOL. I'm kind of hesitating as I don't want to get to the last one and get all bummed out cuz I won't know what happens after that.

Hi everybody
Thanks for replying. I am an old AW fan from way back. I started watching in 1980 when my daughter was born and watched until the last episode. These shows from 1981 took me back to a very sweet time in my life and I am very sorry they have ended. I wonder why they are discontinuing AW. Well, I guess I start on Hulu nad pick up in 1991 but I'm more than a little scared they'll do the sme thing there. What is it with pulling AW.?
I'm glad to have a place to come to for all the latest updates. And yes, maybe someone else will pick it up. |

I just wanted to let everybody know that you can still watch any episode that AOL posted all the way up to the last one 4412. Just go to Google and type in Another World and then the episode number you want and it will bring it up. It shows you can go to truveo or Aol. I have had some trouble with truveo direct so I recomment Aol.
I haven't tried Texas or any other soap but I bet it works as well.
Enjoy. |

Somebody else will pick up the early years of AW.
I REFUSE to believe that I'm going to be screwed out of ever seeing The Three Musketeers, MPK's Sally and TIG's Catlin, Rachel's blindness leading to her reunion with Mac, and Sandy FINALLY getting his brain back and dumping that beeyotch Cecile! I don't know where or when, but it HAS to be back!

Thank you for that visual, KG. Now I'm going to be trying to get Marianne all over Jamie out of my head for the rest of the evening.
Thank God they never subjected us to Mac and Alice like that! SkinnyMitch and Rachel were bad enough!

I keep thinking that if they wanted to quit showing Another World completely then they would have pulled ALL the epi's. But they didn't. They left a teaser epi of all of them that Chuck links us too.
I am hopeful
