In order to save her own beautiful creamy skin, Lorna threw Kathleen under the bus when she suggested to Carl that Kathleen was the one who tipped off the authorities about Pete Walker.
Luvs me some Carl & Lorna but can't wait for *mother & daughter* to find out they "shared" the same evil man. I think they take the news a bit better than the Vicky/Donna/Marley/Jake surprise.
Love it when Carl & Ryan share scenes.
Anyone else get the Hannibal Lector heebie-geebies in the Carl/Kathleen jail scenes? Roar!!!

I KNEW there was a reason I loved Lorna in 1991.
(Besides, if anyone deserves to get thrown under a bus after the way she tried to throw Frankie out of Cass's life by lying her AZZ off at Fanny and Luke's wedding, it was THAT WOMAN!)

Ooh, yeah, I missed that before, so I gotta watch for it now. Although the Vicky/Donna Slaps Heard 'Round the World has GOT to qualify in the Top 10 Most Memorable Moments Ever on AW!

Even before learning Ryan was his son, Carl treated Ryan better than Spencer did. (Yup, I still, think Spencer's a total d!ck who only paid lip service to being Ryan's father, because whenever the chips were down, he sided with total d!ck, Jr....I mean Grant, over Ryan. EVERY...FREAKIN'...TIME! That's not love, that's blatant favortism!) Ryan deserves a father who loves him for him. I hope Carl becomes that for Ryan in time, and that Ryan is able to accept him.

What? How do you figure that?

This seems to be the time that the writers want to make Lorna a more sympathetic character. Double crossing Carl makes her look not so bad. Guess TPTB were wanting to keep her on the show at this point. I admire her strength. I do not remember thinking that way back in 1991. Funny how you watch the show differently years later.
Seeing Ryan arrest Carl, all I could think of is how would they feel then knowing they are father and son. I had forgotten what a horrible man Spencer was. He is lucky Ryan even talks to him. Iris and Donna are crazy IMO to want to be involved with him.
What I find funny now is that the Paulina story is the one I seem to remember most. It's odd to me because the Dean and Jenna story is my fave. A couple of times I could have quoted Paulina before she even spoke.
I remember really enjoying the shooting of the Lady Killer video when it first aired so I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

But she gets much worse before she gets better [remember the Jenna "porn" video?] and Felicia has not even BEGUN to hate her.
Funny thing about getting to watch it all again. I remember liking Jenna better the first time around but never actually hating Lorna despite the way she treated Jenna (maybe cuz I knew MamaFelicia had Jenna's back). But seeing it all a second time, I am not that big a Jenna fan and well, I absolutely adore Lorna, and that is prolly cuz I know *who* she really is. And I still wanna be her when I grow up.

Yes I do remember the bad things Lorna did Nettie. I did not see all the porn video shows back then so I'm really looking forward to watching them this year. The soaps on TV now are not near as good as what AW was in 1991.
The thing I love about Lorna now is that she makes sure she controls her situation, not the situation controlling her. Right now she is playing Matt like a fiddle and he is too clueless to realize.

oooh...a thread about my favourite bad girl. I loved me some Lorna. I never could get mad at her no matter what she did. I too wanna be her when I grow up. Jenna was another story, couldn't stand her most of the time. |

Cheers to Lorna. Thanks to Hulu I get to enjoy her in all her "badness" from the beginning. I missed most of her initial scenes the first time around. Can't wait for Felicia to find out. |
