Anne Heche ready to hang with HBO's "Hung"
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Anne Heche will co-star in HBO's new series "Hung," a dark comedy that centers on a well-endowed but struggling high school basketball coach.
Thomas Jane plays the lead character, Ray. Heche will play Ray's ex-wife, who is remarried. The actress replaces Kristin Bauer, who played the role in the pilot.
The series, from creators Dmitry Lipkin and Colette Burson and director Alexander Payne ("Sideways"), was picked up for 10 episodes. It's expected to premiere in June.
Heche, who is pregnant with her second child and due to give birth in the spring, stars opposite Ashton Kutcher in the dramatic comedy "Spread," which premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival. She recently toplined the ABC series "Men in Trees." |
