Hey, everybody!
YouTube was very contrary the past few days, but I finally got everything uploaded that I wanted to get uploaded for this week. In 1992, the search for Kevin Anderson, and for Lucas's real killer, is on...but are they the same person? Frankie goes wedding dress shopping with Christy Carson; Ryan puts on his bravest face and puts his best foot forward when Vicky and Grant prepare to announce their engagement to Steven; Jamie refuses to let his family get him his job back; and Tommy promises to stick around for his dad as long as he can.
In 1990, we're leading up to the big gala, which culminates in Cass's daring rescue of Frankie from the prop room of the theatre where Griffen Sanders locked her before he was shot to death in the middle of Olivia's performance, and Cass and Frankie's reunion at the hospital.
Thanks to Janie for the 1992 scenes, and to Suzanne for the scenes detailing the revelation of Lucas's killer.

Paulina and Jake--If Kevin's the Killer, You'll Be Next
Paulina still thinks that Jake is trying to set Kevin up, perhaps by recording a few phone calls, splicing them together, and making him sound like a psycho serial killer. Then she thinks Jake is doing it for the reward money Felicia is offering. Jake explodes that he doesn't give a damn about the reward money, and says that maybe he can track Kevin down and save his butt. Before Jake's father died, he told Kevin to take care of Jake; that's something he never would have trusted Jake to do. Maybe it's time for Jake to prove he can take care of somebody else. Paulina realizes that Jake is really serious and apologizes for not believing him before. He tells her that her reaction is understandable. Paulina asks if Jake thinks Kevin is guilty. Jake doesn't know what to believe. Paulina tells Jake that no one is judging him by what Kevin's done. Jake asks Paulina if she still thinks he'll never change. Paulina says she sees how rough this is for Jake, and asks what if Kevin really did kill Lucas? Jake says if that's the case, they have to find him before he hurts himself or Lorna. Paulina says if Kevin really did kill Lucas, the next one he'll want to kill is Jake. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Jamie and Rachel Discuss Kevin, Iris Arrives, Jamie Refuses Family Help at Work
Rachel and Jamie discuss Kevin being wanted for murder. Rachel thinks Jake set Kevin up like he went after Jamie. Jamie tacitly disagrees. Rachel then turns the conversation to the situation with Kelsey and the hearing. Rachel isn't angry at Kelsey, and she is proud of Jamie for standing up and saying that sexual discrimination is wrong. But Rachel blames Jake for exacerbating the situation with the videotape. Jamie still insists that he is to blame because of the way he treated Kelsey. Iris arrives and tells Jamie he'd be a fool to take Kelsey back, and says that Kelsey has turned the hospital into armed camps. If Jamie starts seeing Kelsey again, the rumor mill at the hospital and the media will go into overdrive. Rachel says the media is onto something else and the rumor mill will move on from Kelsey and Jamie. Jamie gets angry when he learns that Iris has statements of support from every department and wants to reinstate him, especially after Rachel asks how many votes they need. Jamie tells Rachel and Iris that he doesn't want his family pulling strings for him to get his job back. He has told everyone at the hospital that employment should be based on merit, not special influence, and the damage has been done, so he tells Rachel and Iris to leave it be. Rachel tells Jamie to calm down, and they will leave the reinstatement up to him. Rachel is sure it will all work out, but Jamie isn't so sure. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Tommy and Hank--I'll Stick Around for You As Long As I Can
Tommy regales Dr. Beckett with tales of Dean's concert, at which Tommy was the emcee, while Beckett checks him over. Beckett says that Tommy busting out of the hospital to go to the concert didn't really set him back. Hank asks if Tommy is okay. Beckett prescribes a Dean Frame tape and some rest. After Beckett leaves, Tommy tells Hank not to sweat it; all he needs is some music therapy. Hank tells Tommy not to go over the wall and hijack any more ambulances. Tommy agrees and says he'll be in great shape by the time Dean gets his road tour together. It'll be wicked: Dean, Jenna, the band, and Tommy...riding the bus. When Hank says that may not be possible, Tommy assures his father that Hank won't be left behind when they make it big. Hank will be their advance man. Tommy can pull some strings to get Hank on board; he's already the emcee and he's gonna be Dean's manager. Hank tells Tommy not to get carried away, but Tommy insists that it will happen. There's a patient upstairs in the cardiac care unit that owns a nightclub on the waterfront and is a sucker for gin rummy. If Tommy plays his cards right, maybe he can get Dean a gig there for New Year's Eve. Hank says he's sure Dean would appreciate that. Tommy says the music business is a cinch because you don't need to be a superhero to cut these deals, and this time next year, they'll be headlining at the Hollywood Bowl. Hank tries a different tack then, and asks Tommy if Tommy remembers the Christmas that he was 7 and wanted his own computer and software, but Santa could only bring him a Transformer. Tommy recalls that he was bummed that none of the computer stuff was under the tree that year. Hank gently tells his son that when you get your expectations too high, you can set yourself up to be disappointed. Tommy understands what his dad is saying and says that he should work with Dean on giving a hospital tour then? Hank says maybe. Tommy tells his dad that he might not make it to the Hollywood Bowl, but he'll stick around for Hank as long as he can, and then father and son hug. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Ryan Talks to Steven, Bridget, Vicky and Grant--Soccer and Growing Up
Bridget warmly greets Steven and Ryan and asks if they had fun at the park. Ryan replies that they did; they had a father-son soccer match because Ryan told Steven he'd take him and stand in for Jamie. Vicky tells Ryan he didn't have to do that. Ryan misunderstands Vicky and thinks she's unhappy he took Steven, so he apologizes for horning in but insists that he didn't want to disappoint Steven. Grant asks Steven directly if he won. Ryan says no, but it was close in the second half; Steven scored the tying goal. Grant congratulates Steven. Ryan amends his statement to say that Steven actually kicked the goal tender and the ball sort of rolled in on its own. Grant says Steven tried and asks Steven what position he played. Ryan answers for the boy, saying Steven was all over the place and they called him their secret weapon. Vicky says Steven was the best thing on the field, wasn't he? Ryan agrees, saying Steven has tons of stamina, he's a natural on defense, pretty darn good on offense too--sort of like his mom. Grant asks if Steven would like to play soccer with him sometime, and Steven shakes his head no. Ryan tells Steven that he should take Grant up on his offer because Grant was a star soccer player in college, an Ivy League forward. Grant shrugs that off, saying he had one good season. He broke his ankle the first game of his sophomore year, ending his soccer career, and that's when he turned to student government. Ryan says he always tried to beat his brother in everything but soccer; Grant always beat him on the soccer field. Even so, Grant taught Ryan to play and got him into the Peewee League and maybe he could do the same for Steven. Ryan tosses Grant the soccer ball, and Bridget takes Steven to get unbundled. Grant thanks Ryan for the high praise. Ryan says he always wanted everything Grant had, but he got over that. Ryan guesses you grow up, huh? Ryan leaves then, but Vicky goes after him and stops him. Outside, Vicky thanks Ryan for what he did for Grant. Ryan says he didn't do it for Grant, he did it for Steven. He didn't want to disappoint Steven. Vicky tells Ryan he doesn't have to worry about Steven. Ryan apologizes and says he guesses it's none of his business. Vicky tells Ryan he's welcome at the house anytime for Steven. Ryan thanks Vicky and hurries away. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Frankie and Christy Go Shopping for Wedding Dresses
Frankie and Christy arrive at the bridal shop, with Frankie asking Christy about her encounter at TOPS with Ryan, and whether Christy came on to Ryan because she can't help turning heads and if Douglas minds, or gets jealous when Christy is around younger men. Christy says it isn't an issue. When a salesclerk comes up to help them, Frankie tells her they'll just browse for a while. Frankie tells Christy she needs to get a feeling about the dresses. Christy says they don't have time for premonitions, and shows Frankie a gown. Frankie says it's more Christy's style than hers. Frankie asks what Christy's wedding gown was like, and Christy tells her, which leads the women to reminisce about when they would rehearse their weddings back in Chadwell, and what they were like back in high school and the guys they didn't date back then. Frankie says they've really come a long way since then. Frankie has found Cass and finally gone to college, and Christy made it all the way to Broadway and to Douglas. Christy says they still have to find Frankie a wedding gown. Frankie doesn't know where the wedding will be yet. She tells Christy that she has tried on three different occasions to marry Cass, and each time something has gone wrong, and now she knows why. Christy thinks Frankie thinks Frankie is jinxed, but Frankie says no, she needed her best friend there. Christy agrees to be Frankie's matron of honor. Frankie says she can't wait to meet Douglas. Christy steers the conversation back to the dresses and shows Frankie one dress in particular, saying she likes the aura even if Frankie doesn't. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Frankie's Bridal Gown Fashion Show, 1992
Frankie tries on several wedding dresses and finally finds one that she loves. Christy urges her to get the dress, but Frankie is hesitant because the dress doesn't feel right. It's bad karma or something. Christy tells Frankie not to put it off, because she might not have time later, which puzzles Frankie. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass and Felicia Discuss Lorna and Kevin
Felicia still can't get Lorna on the phone. She tells Cass that all she wants to do is put her arms around Lorna and make sure she's safe. Cass reminds Felicia that Lorna doesn't go in for that mushy, mother-daughter stuff and points out that Lorna survived years with Carl Hutchins, so her sense of self-preservation is highly evolved. Felicia says normally that's true, but it's different this time because Kevin makes Lorna crazy. After Cass promises not to tell anyone else what Felicia is about to tell him, Felicia tells Cass that Lorna already committed a felony for Kevin: she got into Billy Cooper's office and took pictures of all the police files and gave the pictures to Kevin. Cass says they could get Lorna for aiding and abetting, tampering with evidence, and accessory after the fact. Felicia says now Cass knows how serious this whole thing. Cass says they should contact Ryan just to be on the safe side because Ryan will know how the cops operate on a case like this and that if Lorna needs a good lawyer, Felicia can count on Cass. Felicia says she always does count on Cass and thanks him. Cass offers to drive Felicia home, but she declines. When he walks her out, he sees the damage to her car and asks what happened and if she was hurt. Felicia flashes back to the fender bender, then lies to Cass that it must have happened in the garage or something before leaving, but Cass doesn't look entirely convinced. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Felicia and Ryan Discuss Lorna, Kevin, and Carl
Ryan meets Felicia at her place after she leaves him an urgent message. Ryan has heard about Kevin, talked to his contacts on the force, and he tells Felicia that they have all available manpower tracking Kevin. Felicia tells Ryan she's worried that Lorna might try to go after Kevin herself. Ryan says if that's the case, the cops will keep an eye on Lorna every minute. Felicia says if you put an obstacle in front of Lorna, it's like you're daring her to overcome it, and she wants Ryan to find Lorna and just keep an eye on her like he did with Jenna. Ryan doesn't think that's a good idea. Felicia tells him it would only be until Kevin is in custody, but Ryan reminds Felicia that Jenna didn't like Ryan following her around, and they had Jenna's permission. What does Felicia think Lorna will do when she finds out her mother hired Ryan to track her down? Felicia admits that she thinks Lorna will have a fit, but asks why Lorna has to know Ryan is tailing her? Can't Ryan observe Lorna from afar? Ryan says that won't work because Lorna knows him; he can't be just an anonymous face in the crowd. Felicia asks if Ryan can recommend somebody, then. Ryan doesn't think that it's necessary, though. Felicia asks if she's supposed to just sit there and wait for bad news. Ryan tells Felicia to have faith in her daughter. Felicia counters that Lorna looks a lot tougher than she is because of all her years with Carl affecting her judgment. Ryan says that at a certain point in time, you just have to forget about Carl and his mind games. Felicia asks if Ryan has heard from Carl lately. Ryan replies that if Carl calls, Ryan's not home, and hopefully Carl will get the message. Felicia wishes that Lorna felt that way about Kevin. Ryan tells Felicia that sometimes the people that we care about don't do what we want them to do and advises Felicia to let go and let Lorna find out she's made a mistake all her own. Thanks to Janie for these scenes.

Frankie & Cass 1992--Frankie Resolves to Find Out What's Going on With Christy
Back at Cass and Frankie's house, Christy tells Cass that Frankie must have tried on two dozen dresses but nothing felt right. Cass correctly guesses that the dresses all had the wrong aura. Christy says "this stuff" is so real to Frankie and asks Cass how he deals with it. Cass replies that Frankie is real to him, so this stuff becomes real too. Christy says that she would hate to see Frankie let a man like Cass slip away. Cass replies that he's the lucky one and he's not going anywhere. Christy says that's what Douglas always said, but it rings hollow now. Cass urges Christy to talk to Frankie about Douglas because Frankie can help Christy, but Christy refuses. Frankie returns from the kitchen then with a bowl of cereal, saying she needed her tofu fix. Christy says goodbye and leaves. After she's gone, Frankie asks Cass how Felicia is. He tells her that he sent Felicia to Ryan. Frankie says maybe she should have Ryan investigate Christy, or maybe she'll do it herself, because she can sense that something is wrong with Christy and she's not telling Frankie what it is. Frankie asks Cass if Christy said anything to him. Cass says yes, she did--she told Cass to hold on to Frankie and never let her go. Cass puts his arms around Frankie and kisses her cheek. Frankie smiles and says she's always liked that girl, but something's wrong, and Frankie is going to find out what it is. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie and Felicia 1990--Felicia Is Judge Wapner
Felicia sets Cass and Frankie up so they are both at her apartment at the same time. When they get angry and try to leave, she gets angry right back and stops them from leaving by ordering them to sit down, telling them that they need a mediator and she is Judge Wapner. Frankie complains about Cass's inability to commit, his liaisons with Caroline and Cecile, and how he keeps bugging her and won't leave her alone because he's jealous of Griffen. Cass counters by saying he cares deeply for Frankie, and she's been so busy throwing herself at The Nutcracker (that is, Griffen Sanders) that he can't get near her. Felicia calls for a time out, tells them this is about them and not Griffen, and points out that she helped both of them with their scams--she helped Cass get Frankie alone at TOPS on Christmas Eve, and she helped Frankie set up that phony date with Trevor the night of the bar association dinner. Cass is thrilled to learn that Trevor was a phony date and not the real deal. Felicia tells Cass and Frankie that they act so crazy because they care about each other a lot but they're too proud (Cass) and too scared (Frankie) to admit it. Then she tells them she's going to leave them alone to talk. They both panic and try to get her to stay but she refuses, and tells them that they're both playing the same stupid game and for a change of pace, they should try to be honest with each other. Felicia leaves then, and Cass and Frankie are left sitting on her couch sneaking looks at each other.

Cass & Frankie 1990--We Could Try a Date
When Cass and Frankie finally start to talk, they both start talking at the same time, which makes them laugh. Frankie says she feels like she's being kept after school. Cass is surprised to learn that Frankie was ever kept after school. She says somebody put an alarm clock in her locker and it went off during exams, and she never told on the kid who did it. Cass says Frankie is loyal and gullible, which can be a dangerous combination. Frankie asks what Cass got kept after school for, and he says she knows enough of his secrets already, which causes her to stare at her lap, hurt by this dismissal. Cass takes a few shots at Griffen before agreeing to keep his mouth shut on the subject against his better judgment. Then Cass asks Frankie what she would say if he were to ask her out on a date. They agree they'd have to have some serious ground rules--total honesty, the whole truth and nothing but. Frankie says she'd be willing to try that. Cass wants to take Frankie to the arts gala, but she tells him she can't, because she already has a date...with Griffen. This upsets Cass, who says there's nothing he can do to keep Frankie away from Griffen, is there? Frankie asks if that's all Cass is trying to do, keep her away from Griffen. Cass says no, that's not all he's trying to do, but if she won't do something about Griffen, he will, and tells her before accepting any sapphires from Griffen as a token of his affection, call the Smithsonian and make sure nothing's missing. Then he storms out, leaving Frankie open-mouthed with shock at the intensity of his reaction.

Cass Overhears Griffen and Lucas Arguing About Frankie, 1990
Griffen calls Lucas and tells him that Frankie Frame is history, so Lucas goes down to the spa to see Griffen, interrupting another phone call Griffen is making. Lucas again orders Griffen to stay away from Frankie Frame. When Griffen points out that Frankie spied on Lucas for months, Lucas replies that it didn't pan out, and Frankie is no threat to Griffen or The Cartel or Lucas. Griffen tells Lucas that Frankie is investigating Catherine March's murder; he found a file in Frankie's apartment. Now Lucas gets it: Griffen is afraid Frankie might be on to him. Griffen tells Lucas about the map he found as well, charting his performances and the art thefts. He tells Lucas that Frankie is going to disappear, and he doesn't take orders from Lucas anymore, since Lucas is sitting on the fence about what to do about Michael Hudson. Cass arrives then and overhears the men arguing, as Griffen says he's not putting his neck on the line for Lucas and some redheaded bimbo, and Lucas tells Griffen he's digging his own grave. Neither man sees Cass, but Cass has certainly gotten an earful, and now he knows without any doubts that Frankie is in danger!

Frankie and Felicia 1990--Thanks for Trying
Frankie goes to see Felicia at TOPS after Cass leaves, and when Felicia asks Frankie how it went, Frankie tells her it didn't. They tried, but it was a bust. Frankie tells Felicia that she and Cass are never going to get together so Felicia might as well give up; Frankie has. But Frankie thanks Felicia for trying.

Lucas Intercepts Griffen at the Farm to Keep Him Away From Frankie, 1990
Lucas follows Griffen out to John and Sharlene's and refuses to let him see Frankie, who's getting ready for the gala at the farm with Sharlene. Lucas is involved so deeply that he has been ordered to kill Michael Hudson. The Buyer, the person who put the hit out on Michael, claims to know where Lucas and Felicia's daughter is. (Lucas will learn after the gala that this was all a lie told to him in an attempt to get him to kill Michael.) Lucas asks Griffen, "Haven't you hurt enough people?" Lucas orders Griffen to leave the farm and leave Frankie alone. Then he tells Griffen that he (Lucas) has spent a great deal of his life doing things that should have scared the hell out of him but didn't, and if anything happens to Lucas's daughter, Griffen will pay for it. Griffen asks what about Michael Hudson? Lucas tells Griffen to worry only about himself; The Buyer made Lucas an offer he couldn't refuse: Michael Hudson's life for Lucas's daughter's life. This time when Lucas orders Griffen to get out of there, Griffen leaves.

Lucas Tries to Send Frankie Out of Town, But She Won't Go, 1990
Sharlene asks Frankie about Cass, the man she'd rather be going to the gala with. Before Frankie can formulate an answer, there's a knock at the door. Since Frankie is dressed and Sharlene isn't, Sharlene heads upstairs and Frankie goes to answer the door. It's Lucas, who is there to tell Frankie she's not going to the gala because he needs her to take care of some problems in his Milan office right away, tonight. He offers to pay Frankie twice her rate plus expenses, and already has her plane ticket. Frankie refuses to go because she has a date to the gala tonight. Lucas apologizes but says it's urgent and he needs someone with Frankie's expertise. Frankie points out she doesn't speak Italian. Lucas tells her that his people will tell her everything she needs to know, then offers her three times her normal rate if she'll just go to Milan tonight. Frankie says this is crazy, then accuses Cass of putting Lucas up to this so Frankie won't go out with Griffen. Lucas says Cass has nothing to do with this, this is all Lucas's idea, and reminds Frankie that Lucas isn't even friendly with Cass. Frankie counters that Lucas is really friendly with Felicia, and she's Cass's best friend, and tells Lucas to tell Cass to stuff it, but Lucas isn't lying: Cass has nothing to do with this. Frankie refuses to believe that, though. Sharlene comes downstairs right after Lucas grabs Frankie in a desperate attempt to get her to listen to him and orders Lucas to take his hands off Frankie and get out of Sharlene's house right now. The frustrated Lucas asks Sharlene why she always runs hot and cold with him. Sharlene replies that she doesn't know what Lucas is talking about and that he is never welcome in her house, and she opens the door and holds it for him and tells him to get out now. Lucas tells Frankie the offer is genuine and he needs her help and asks her to think about it, and then he leaves. Sharlene slams the door after him.

Reuben Interrupts Cass Before He Can Call Frankie, 1990
Cass decides to call Frankie and tell her about what he overheard with Griffen and Lucas, but before he can, Reuben interrupts to talk to Cass about going to college. At the end of the conversation, Reuben asks Cass if Cass is taking Frankie to the gala, and Cass says that he's not because that's over.

Frankie Tries to Calm Sharlene About Lucas, 1990
After Sharlene throws Lucas out, Frankie tells Sharlene that Lucas was only offering her a job and he's done lots of wonderful things, especially for Josie. Sharlene vehemently disagrees, proclaiming that she hates Lucas because he used her long ago, he's using Josie now because he's got her all caught up in that easy money world of his, and now he's trying to use Frankie. Sharlene tells Frankie that she can't believe Frankie can't see that Lucas is trying to buy her out.

Cass Gets Rid of the Distractions and Calls Frankie, 1990
After he sends Reuben to deliver some papers, Caroline Stafford arrives with some artists' contracts for Cass to look over. Cass makes the mistake of telling Caroline that he and Frankie aren't seeing each other anymore, which gets Caroline started on how wrong Frankie was for Cass, because, according to Caroline, Frankie is immature and trouble. (Are you sure you're not talking about yourself there, Caroline?) When she starts going on about Frankie's crystals and her apartment, Cass tunes out, obviously thinking of the women he loves (and I don't mean Caroline Stafford, either), and politely hurries Caroline out of the office so he can call Frankie. When she answers, Cass tells her it's him and asks her not to hang up because there's something he's got to talk to her about.

Frankie, Cass, and Sharlene 1990--Cass Is Probably As Afraid of Love As You Are, Frankie
Cass tells Frankie that he found out some more things about Griffen Sanders and Lucas. Frankie says she knows about Lucas, and tells Cass that he hit an all-time low getting Lucas involved. Cass, confused, says he must have missed something because Lucas got himself involved in this, and tells Frankie she's making a big mistake. Frankie tells Cass she doesn't want to hear any more of this, tells Cass not to call her again, and hangs up. Sharlene, now dressed for the gala, comes in and asks what the phone call was about. Frankie replies that it was Cass, and he sent Lucas over to try and stop Frankie from going to the gala with Griffen. Sharlene asks if Cass actually said that, and Frankie says Cass didn't have to, because Cass would do anything to keep her from going out with Griffen. Sharlene apologizes for getting out of hand earlier in the afternoon about Lucas. Frankie suggests coming up with an anti-Lucas mantra for Sharlene. Sharlene tells Frankie that Cass is a nice man who's in love with Frankie. "Which is why he slept with Cecile," Frankie says sarcastically. "He doesn't know the meaning of the word, Sharlene!"
"I'm not saying he knows he's in love with you," Sharlene replies. "I'm saying he's probably as afraid of the word as you are."
"I am NOT afraid to love!" Frankie insists.
"Riiight," Sharlene replies knowingly.
(Sharlene totally has both Frankie's and Cass's number!)
Frankie says she just haven't met the right guy. Sharlene asks if Frankie thinks she'll know when she sees him. Frankie says yes, she believes she'll feel some kind of bond, as if they've known each other for lifetimes. Sharlene asks if Frankie is sure that the guy isn't Cass. Frankie says Cass is a new soul if she ever saw one and he's probably only been around for one lifetime, then asks to change the subject. Frankie compliments Sharlene on her dress. Sharlene again takes up for Cass, saying that Cass is probably just trying to get Frankie to listen to his side of things. Frankie doesn't want to listen to Cass's side, though, saying she's tired of him ruining her dates. Then Frankie tells Sharlene that she's going to go to the theatre and surprise Griffen before the show, and she'll see Sharlene and John there. Sharlene tells Frankie to stay warm, and Frankie grabs her coat on the way out and heads to the theatre.

Cass Asks Caroline to the Gala, 1990
Cass exhibits a momentary lapse of judgment when he asks Caroline to cancel her date and go with him to the gala. Caroline agrees, on the condition that Cass does not follow around a certain redheaded bimbo all night. (Caroline's words, not mine!)
Don't worry, though, Cass and Frankie fans--that's a condition that Cass throws out the window in short order once the evening gets underway.

Cass & Frankie 1990--Griffen Threatens Frankie's Life
Backstage at the arts gala, Frankie overhears Griffen on the phone telling someone that everything is arranged for Michael Hudson's murder. When Griffen hangs up the phone and sees Frankie, he starts chasing her. Frankie rushes to the lobby, where she finds Reuben and asks him where Cass is. Reuben points her in the general direction he thinks Cass is, but Griffen gets to Frankie before Frankie can get to Cass and tells Frankie that he has a gun and if she doesn't come with him, he'll kill her. He warns her not to speak to anyone as they walk through the lobby, and although they are stopped by Iris Wheeler, Frankie keeps her mouth shut. When Iris leaves, Griffen tells Frankie that was very good, and to keep silent but still look like she's happy to be with him. They make their way through the lobby, and when Frankie sees Cass and Caroline Stafford, she bumps into Caroline on purpose to get her and Cass's attention. Caroline is offended, and Cass asks Frankie what's going on as she just looks at him.

Cass & Frankie 1990--Frankie Tries to Tip Cass Off About Griffen
Cass asks to talk to Frankie alone, but Griffen tightens his grip on her and Frankie says that would be a mistake, because there's nothing left between them anyway. Then she tries to tip Cass off about Griffen by asking Cass if he remembers the night they almost made love, how that woman interrupted them and Cass handled the situation all wrong? Griffen would have known how to handle the situation. Griffen then says he's in a bit of a rush and whisks Frankie off. Reuben then approaches Cass and tells Cass that Frankie was looking for Cass earlier and said it was important, but then Reuben saw Frankie with "that dancer guy." Cass tells Reuben that whatever Frankie decides to do is her business and not Cass's problem, but after Reuben and Caroline both depart, Cass looks troubled.

Cass & Frankie 1990--Griffen Locks Frankie in the Basement of the Theatre
Griffen marches Frankie to the basement of the theatre at gunpoint. While he's unlocking a door, Frankie drops one of her bracelets on the floor right outside the door as a clue for someone to find her. In the room, which is an old prop room, Frankie tells Griffen that Cass was right about him all along, and asks him what's going on with Lucas and Michael. Griffen tells Frankie that he is working with Lucas, and that Lucas is to kill Michael Hudson tonight because Michael has been trying to stop the work the cartel that Griffen are involved with is doing. Frankie screams for help and tries to get away, but Griffen backhands her across the face, causing her to land on the floor. When he hears the dinging signaling that the gala is about to start, he tells Frankie that first will be Michael Hudson, and then her, and then he leaves, locking Frankie in the prop room. Frankie starts pounding on the door and screaming for help.

Cass & Frankie 1990--A Shooting on the Stage
Olivia is performing a solo piece from "The Firebird," but hers is the least dramatic role in this segment. Griffen is lurking backstage, still armed. Michael, completely unaware there is a hit out on him, is sitting alone in his box seat. Lucas, also armed, enters Michael's box seat. Felicia, who saw Lucas leave the theatre, is in the lobby; she talks to an usher, then decides to go upstairs and see if Lucas is in Michael's box. Frankie is still pounding on the prop room door and screaming for help. Realizing no one can hear her over the music, she leans back against the door and tearfully says, "Oh, Cass." Cass is sitting in the audience watching Olivia's performance with most of the rest of Bay City, including Rachel, Matt, Iris, Sam, Amanda, Evan Bates, Vicky, John and Sharlene, Aunt Liz, Mitch, and Ken Jordan. Michael turns around just in time to see Lucas pointing a gun at him and goes wide-eyed with shock. Lucas shifts his gun arm slightly and a shot rings out. We then see the same scene play out, but from Michael's POV. Michael sees Griffen backstage raising a gun pointed right at Michael in his box seat; then he turns and see Lucas standing behind him with a gun. Michael hits the floor to take cover, and Lucas gets his shot off first. Griffen falls at Olivia's feet center stage with a gunshot wound to the torso, causing Olivia to let out a bloodcurdling scream. Everything stops cold, and then chaos starts to reign as Ken Jordan hustles Rachel out of there before there's any more shooting, John rushes to the stage to check Griffen's condition, Sharlene goes to Olivia and tries to calm her down, Aunt Liz pulls Matthew along behind her in her rush to exit the theatre, and Evan tells Iris that no, he hasn't seen Lucas and then takes the shaken Vicky to the lobby, as Sam follows suit with an equally shaken Amanda. Sharlene holds Olivia back and tells her to let John help Griffen, and John checks Griffen over and calls for an ambulance and the police. The last two audience members in the theatre are Cass and Caroline Stafford, and now that Griffen has been shot, Cass only wants to know one thing: where is Frankie?

Cass & Frankie 1990--Cass Looks for Frankie, Who's Scared
Caroline is not the least bit sympathetic to Cass's worry over Frankie's disappearance. The paramedics take Griffen to the hospital, and Cass tracks down John and Sharlene, who are still on the stage, to ask if either of them have seen Frankie. They haven't, and Sharlene is now as worried as Cass. Cass, Sharlene, John, and Caroline all look for Frankie. Meanwhile, Frankie is getting increasingly scared in the prop room, because she realizes that the sudden silence, the lack of music, means something must have happened. She tries to get the door open with a prop sword, but it isn't sharp enough. She continues pounding on the door and calling for help, but no one hears her. She then goes to investigate the grate covering the air duct as a possible way out. Back inside the theatre, Sharlene reports that Frankie's not in the ladies' room and none of the ushers have even seen her. Cass returns then and says Frankie isn't anywhere. Then Sharlene remembers that Lucas came to the farm earlier in the day to see Frankie; Lucas wanted Frankie to take an out-of-town job today. Sharlene thinks that Lucas, like Cass, was trying to warn Frankie about Griffen. Cass says he wants to talk to Lucas. John tells him that Lucas is at the police station, and getting in to talk to him won't be easy, adding that if Griffen dies, Lucas will be charged with murder.

Cass & Frankie 1990--The Police Station and the Prop Room
Felicia and Iris both insisted on accompanying Lucas to the police station, so Mitch went along to be with Felicia, and Rachel went along to be with Iris. Mitch and Felicia are bickering over Lucas, with Mitch saying Lucas obviously isn't the man Felicia thought he was and Felicia insisting that Mitch doesn't know Lucas at all when Cass hurries in, wanting to know if anyone has heard anything about Frankie. The only person who even asks about Frankie is Rachel; Cass tells everyone that Frankie is missing, and that he wants to talk to Lucas. Iris tells him he can't because they're still questioning Lucas, but they let Michael go. Felicia didn't know Michael had left, and Iris gets catty with Felicia when explaining that two officers escorted Michael out the back way while Felicia was talking to Detective Courtney Walker, and one of those officers told Iris that Griffen might be dead. A uniformed officer then comes up to the group and tells Cass he has a phone call. It's Sharlene calling from the farm--Frankie isn't there or at the law office. Cass tells Sharlene not to worry, he'll figure something out, but when he hangs up the phone, he asks, "Where the hell is she?" She's still in the prop room, that's where. Frankie's voice is starting to get hoarse from all the yelling and screaming for help, so she takes a different tack: she finds a piece of paper and uses her lipstick to print "HELP ME I'M TRAPPED" on it, and then she slides it under the door of the prop room, so now she has left two clues outside the door, her bracelet and the note. After sliding the note under the door, Frankie decides that Griffen obviously isn't coming back for her tonight, so she'll be spending the night here. She pulls a mat out of the corner as she tells herself that someone is going to find her, then settles down with the mat against the wall facing the door. Unfortunately, a workman enters the basement to put up signs warning that the whole area is dangerous because it's a demolition area, and he drops a stack of signs on the floor outside the prop room door, covering Frankie's note!

Cass & Frankie 1990--I Have to Find Her. They'll Find Me.
Early the next morning at the law office, Cass, still wearing the remnants of his tux from the night before, interrupts Stacey and Derek's romantic interlude to ask their help in looking for Frankie, telling them about Griffen's shooting and Frankie's disappearance the night before. Cass says if anything has happened to Frankie... He can't finish that sentence, and he determinedly says he has to find her. Meanwhile, Frankie awakens in the prop room and checks her lifeline in the palm of her hand. There are no changes. She says, "They'll find me." But when she feels a rat crawling across her feet, she's had enough, and climbs up to finally remove the grate covering the air duct. Frankie then climbs into the air duct and prepares to begin crawling through it to try and find a way out of the building.

Cass & Frankie 1990--A Realization and a Roadblock
Cass tells Stacey and Derek what he knows about Lucas, Michael, and Griffen, which isn't much: the police let Lucas go because of Michael's testimony that Lucas saved his life, and as far as Cass knows, Griffen hasn't regained consciousness and might even be dead by now. When Stacey tells Cass that he was right about Griffen not being legit, Cass says being right isn't much consolation if Cass can't find Frankie. Derek asks when the last time was that Cass saw Frankie, and as he's telling Derek and Stacey about running into Frankie glued to Griffen's side in the lobby, he realizes that Frankie was trying to tell him that Griffen killed Catherine when she brought up the woman who interrupted them the night they almost made love; he thought she meant Cecile, but she meant Catherine, and she couldn't talk in front of Griffen. Frankie was trying to tell Cass that she was in trouble, and he didn't get it. More worried than ever, Cass wonders where Griffen took Frankie after they left the lobby. Meanwhile, Frankie is crawling through the air shaft, but she gets stuck and can't move either forward or backward. Scared and frustrated, she begins to cry and to yell for help again.

Cass & Frankie 1990--They're Gonna Blow Up the Theatre!
Cass beats himself up over not realizing Frankie was in trouble. Stacey and Derek get him focused again by asking him how much time passed between when he saw Frankie and Griffen in the lobby and when Griffen's performance started. Not much, Cass tells them. Derek wonders if Frankie could still be in the building. Then Cass recalls that he and Frankie were locked in the basement of Caroline's art gallery the night Catherine March was murdered, so that would be Griffen's style. Cass can't bear to think of the alternative. Stacey tells him not to think about it, and that they will find Frankie. But the already worried Cass is thrown into a panic when Reuben arrives at the law office and, upon learning that Frankie is missing and might still be at the theatre, informs the others that the theatre is being blown up at 8:00 AM! Stacey looks at her watch and announces it's 7:00 AM now, and they all go running out of the law office. Outside the theatre, Courtney Walker, the most useless police officer in Bay City history (I ask you seriously, would Ryan Harrison, Larry Ewing, or Adam Cory have reacted the way Courtney does here? I think not!), insists that there's no way Frankie can be inside the building because she's had officers collecting evidence in there and no one has seen Frankie. Cass, Stacey, Derek and Reuben all want to search the building themselves, but Courtney and the construction foreman both say no, and that if someone is in there that Courtney's men missed, the construction crew will find her. Meanwhile, in the air shaft, Frankie is trying to get unstuck but fails. Two construction workers perform a cursory search of the basement but don't go into the prop room. They head upstairs to give the foreman the all clear to blast...not knowing that Frankie is unconscious in the air shaft inside the locked prop room!

Cass & Frankie 1990--Diversionary Tactics and Explosions
Cass is ready to storm the building, demanding that he be allowed to search for himself because the construction crew has no stake in whether or not Frankie is in there and all right. They still refuse to let him inside. Realizing they'll have to find another way to get into the building, Cass, Stacey, Derek, and Reuben hold a hurried conference. Stacey will try to get an injunction to stop the blasting while Reuben will create a diversion so that Cass and Derek can get into the theatre and look for Frankie. Stacey heads off to court, Reuben swipes a toolbox and is chased after by about six construction workers, and Cass and Derek get into the building. The construction workers and a uniformed cop catch Reuben and bring him back. He insists that he works for the law firm of Winthrop and Edwards and that law firm is trying to stop the blasting. The foreman says it's too late, but then Stacey comes running up with the official injunction in hand--no blasting until a thorough search of the building has been conducted. Stacey and Reuben are both relieved...until they hear the one-minute warning alarm blast through the air. Reuben tells Stacey that Cass and Derek are still inside. Stacey asks why the foreman didn't call off his men, and he tells her that his radio has a short circuit in it and they didn't hear him. Stacey and Reuben clutch the chain link fence and Stacey screams for Cass as the first explosion detonates...with Cass, Frankie and Derek all inside the building!

Cass & Frankie 1990--Cass Rescues Frankie From the Theatre
Take a deep breath--you're gonna need it. Cass, with backup from Derek, rescues Frankie from the theatre, as Stacey, Reuben, and the just-arrived Sharlene wait anxiously outside in the wake of the explosions. To go into any more detail would be almost impossible to do in a brief manner, so just watch and enjoy, especially if you're a Cass and Frankie fan.

Cass & Frankie 1990--Aftermath of Frankie's Rescue From the Theatre
Outside the theatre, Sharlene calls John at Michael and Donna's to tell him about what happened to Frankie and ask him to meet them at the hospital, since the paramedics will be taking Frankie there. Derek reassures Stacey that he's all right. Cass, covered in soot, won't leave Frankie's side as he begs her to wake up, despite Reuben telling Cass to let the paramedics put her in the ambulance. Frankie, also covered in soot, and wearing a neck brace, stirs and wakes up and looks up at Cass, and then she says something that only Frankie would say. Notice the look of love that passes between her and Cass as they touch each other's faces tenderly.

Cass & Frankie 1990--She's on a Gurney, He's on the Floor
Frankie and Cass arrive at the hospital, accompanied by Sharlene, Stacey, Derek, and Reuben. Ronnie meets them in the ER. Frankie's on a gurney, and Cass is standing beside her holding her hand. Frankie insists she'll be fine, but Ronnie tells her that John's going to check her over just to make sure. Then Ronnie tells Cass that in order for John to check Frankie over, Cass will have to let go of Frankie's hand. He tells Frankie to do everything John tells her to, and then he and the others watch as the paramedics and Ronnie wheel Frankie into a cubicle. Sharlene tells Cass she doesn't know how she'll ever be able to thank him for saving Frankie's life as she puts her arm through his and gently leads him away from the door of the cubicle. Cass thanks the others for their help, and Derek and Reuben each say that the other man's help was valuable. Cass remarks that it's a bit warm in there, and worried, Stacey asks if he's all right. Cass says he's fine, all he cares about Frankie. Ronnie comes out then, and Cass asks her how Frankie is. As soon as Ronnie says that Frankie will be fine and she'll be raising hell before they know it, Cass passes out cold! Stacey screams as Derek and Reuben rush to catch him before he hits the floor and keep his airway open. Stacey's freaking out as Derek and Reuben help Ronnie get the unconscious Cass into a wheelchair, but Stacey's got nothing on Frankie, who exits the ER cubicle just as they're picking Cass up off the floor and she panics at the sight of his unconscious form. Sharlene comes to the rescue again as she rushes forward to take Frankie by the arm and gently pull her away from the ER cubicle, explaining that as soon as Cass heard that Frankie was all right, he seemed to just give in. Frankie blames herself for all of this, saying that Cass tried to warn her about Griffen for weeks and he was right. Sharlene reassures her that Cass will be all right and sits her down. Derek consoles Stacey, saying he's sure Cass will be fine, and that he just passed out because he's exhausted. Stacey and Derek then overhear a couple of uniformed officers talking about Griffen Sanders. The coroner's van never made it to the morgue, and Stacey wonders what in the world that means (although the show never did follow up on this).

Cass & Frankie 1990--Reunion at the Hospital
I couldn't possibly give this scene the description/summary it deserves, so all I'll say is watch, listen, and enjoy.
