I LOVE How I Met Your Mother. And one of the reasons is couple-in-the-making Barney Stinson and Robin Scherbatsky, played by Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders. So of course it was only a matter of time before I made a video about them. Actually, I have two ideas, and this is the one that got finished first.

I was inspired to make this video by Neil and Cobie, who are just so awesome as Barney and Robin. I made it the same way I make my AW videos: it started with the song. And I chose the song because it IS Barney and his feelings for Robin. And as of right now, Robin still has no idea that Barney's in love with her. It's sort of a twist on Chandler and Monica secretly dating on Friends--one by one, the rest of the gang found out. Lily found out first, and then Ted, and no one at that board can agree on whether or not Marshall knows. Since Lily is as bad at keeping a surprise a surprise as I am, and it's a well-documented fact that aside from the annoying habit of not being able to keep a surprise a surprise she and Marshall tell each other literally everything, I believe that Lily has spilled the beans to Marshall about Barney and Robin (if he didn't figure it out for himself when the skinny, suit-wearing Barney was eager to get into a fistfight after Robin mentioned she thought boxing was hot), but we haven't actually seen Marshall say anything about this to Barney because, unlike with Lily and with Ted, a situation has not come up where Marshall and Barney are having a one-on-one conversation and Marshall either calls Barney on his feelings for Robin, like Ted did, or Barney asks for advice on what to do about his feelings for Robin, like he did with Lily.

If you do watch it, the "little arrangement" that Robin refers to when talking to Barney about Ted is them being "friends with benefits." Ted ended that because he had called Barney on his feelings for Robin and realized that Barney is in love with Robin, so the someone that Ted doesn't want to hurt is Barney. But this goes right over Robin's head. And when Barney says "I love you" he's actually saying it to Robin, telling her how he feels about her, but she thought he was talking about Ted, and...well, you'll see if you watch the video.

Also, in the description, "The Bro Code" refers to a book referenced on the show that is Barney's personal guide to life, and BRotp stands for "Barney and Robin, One True Pairing."

Theirs is a romance that has the potential to be legen...wait for it...dary! This video is about how Barney "fooled around and fell in love" with Robin...which she still doesn't know.
