· Quote

Hey, everybody!

It's sort of a holiday week, since all of the 1992 clips deal with Thanksgiving that year, and in 1990 Cass and Frankie celebrate Valentine's Day, and then things kick up another notch the day after with everything that happens. Thanks to Janie for the 1992 clips. Enjoy! Very Happy

Amy

The Corys' Thanksgiving 1992--Part 1

Rachel tells Matt, Amanda, and Sam, who is holding Alli, not to mention the hospital to Jamie because she wants him to enjoy the holiday. Iris arrives overjoyed that Paulina and Jake won't be at dinner because Jake is in the hospital since he got hurt helping Kevin prove his innocence in Lucas's murder. Rachel pulls Iris aside and reminds her of their agreement not to be openly hostile toward Jake. Iris apologizes, saying she was so glad she wouldn't have to play games with Jake that she forgot and let her feelings run away with her. Then she leaves to help Hank bring Tommy home from the hospital for the holiday. Rachel muses that Iris is getting very involved with that family and asks if it's just Tommy, or Hank too. Iris says that Hank is not her type of man and promises to be back for dinner. Amanda frets that Jamie hasn't been reinstated by the hospital yet, but when Jamie comes down, he tells everyone that he's fine and not to worry, because the hospital will make its decision when it needs to and in the meantime, he's enjoying the time with his family. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Iris, Hank, and Tommy, Thanksgiving 1992

Iris and Hank pick Tommy up at the hospital and take him home for Thanksgiving. Hank and Tommy both ask Iris to stay and have dinner with them, and she agrees, so the trio settles down to dinner together at the Kents'. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 1--Catching Christy Flirting With Ryan

Cass and Frankie are surprised when they arrive at TOPS and see Christy and Ryan sitting at the bar together. Cass says they're flirting. Frankie tries to say that Cass has a warped perspective and is reading more into it than is actually there, but he simply says that he knows flirting when he sees it and asks Frankie to look again and tell him what she sees. So she does, and can't believe that her now-married childhood chum is actively flirting with her grown-up best friend! Cass and Frankie head over and Cass asks Ryan and Christy if they can join in the fun. Frankie hugs Christy. Ryan asks if Frankie and Christy know each other. Frankie replies that she's known Christy since long before Christy was married and asks how Christy's husband Douglas is. Christy replies that he's fine, but he'll be better when she gets home with dessert, which is why she's there. Actually, it's why they're all there: Ryan is picking up dessert to take to Thanksgiving dinner at Spencer's house (poor Ryan); Cass and Frankie are there to pick up dessert to take to Thanksgiving dinner at the Cory Mansion; and Christy is there to pick up dessert to take home for Thanksgiving dinner with Douglas. Franco returns with Ryan's dessert since he was there first. Cass tells Franco that he and Frankie will take the same thing as Ryan, but hold the dairy. Christy also requests the same kind of dessert. Frankie asks Ryan if he'll be okay with having dinner at Spencer's with a group that includes Vicky and Grant. Ryan says he'll try to have a happy Thanksgiving and wishes everyone else the same, then leaves because he's running late. After Ryan leaves, Christy puts on her best innocent look and asks Cass and Frankie, who are both looking at her expectantly, "What? What'd I do?" Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 2--Cute Cass and Frankie, Christy Yells at Frankie

While waiting for their desserts to be ready, Cass and Frankie sit at a table with Christy, who denies having flirted with Ryan even though Frankie says it looked to her and Cass like she was flirting with Ryan. Christy says it's been so long, she doubt she even remembers how to flirt. Cass laughs and says he doubts that, adding that he finds it's like riding a bicycle. Frankie says that Cass would say that. Christy tells Cass and Frankie to wait until they're married, and they'll see. Sitting together, Frankie's arm around Cass's neck, Frankie says, "Cass has already sworn off flirting and eye roving." They turn to look at each other.

"Oh yes, Mary Frances, my mistress, my master, mine," Cass says, leaning in to kiss her cheek.

"You're the one who promised," Frankie replies, a laugh in her voice. "You're the one who promised."

"I did," Cass says.

Christy tells them they can be really gross. Cass says they can be really, REALLY gross if pressed, then pulls Frankie into a full-on kiss on the lips. Christy says she hopes they can pull it off. Cass says it'll be a piece of cake, then excuses himself to pay for dessert. After Cass leaves the table, Frankie asks Christy if everything is okay between Christy and Douglas. Christy asks why Frankie is asking that. Frankie replies she's asking because of what Christy just said about it being hard to commit to someone. Christy accuses Frankie of putting words in her mouth. Frankie points out that she and Christy found each other again weeks ago, and Frankie still hasn't met Christy's husband, and she finds that a little weird. Christy asks if Frankie ever considered there's a reason she hasn't met Douglas yet. Frankie replies that she doesn't want to be a pain, to which Christy replies, "Could've fooled me," and says she just wants to help, and to be there for Christy. Christy yells at Frankie then, saying that if Frankie wants to help, she can stop being an intervention specialist, because Christy knows how to handle her life, and she likes it. Christy then apologizes, saying she wanted this to be a special day for Douglas but he had a bad night last night. Cass returns with both his and Frankie's pie, and Christy's pie, and tells her the pie is on him and Frankie. Frankie invites Christy and Douglas to join them at the Corys' after dinner because she's sure Rachel won't mind, but Christy declines, saying that she and Douglas always spend Thanksgiving alone; it's a tradition, and Frankie knows how Christy is about tradition. After Christy leaves, Frankie tells Cass that Christy hates tradition and always has. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Ryan at the Hudson/Harrison Thanksgiving Dinner, 1992

At Spencer's, Ryan toasts to Grant and Vicky. Spencer's butler then gives Vicky a wrapped gift that arrived for her, and when she opens it, she announces that it's from Carl. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 3--At the Cory Mansion

Cass and Frankie arrive at the Cory Mansion just in time to share in the celebration of the news that Jamie has been reinstated at the hospital. Matt toasts Jamie, then announces that he and Sam have to leave because they have to go to a party in Chicago to promote Sam's new single, and after that it's straight to Nashville. Sam says goodbye to Amanda while Matt and Hannah say goodbye, as Hannah won't be seeing Matt for a long time what with her going off to college and all. No sooner have Matt and Sam left than Jamie gets called into the hospital, and while he's sorry to miss Thanksgiving dinner, he's thrilled to be back at work. Ada complains about the three guys going poof, but they still have Cass, who escorts Rachel and Ada into dinner, so Amanda and Frankie link arms and follow the others into the dining room. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Lorna and Jenna Find Felicia at Lucas's Grave, Thanksgiving 1992

Felicia puts flowers at Lucas's grave on Thanksgiving Day 1992 and talks to him, telling him about how Jenna and Dean are living together now and Jenna's having Thanksgiving dinner, and that Lorna will be there, and they're a real family, or they would have been if Sally hadn't... When she tells Luke she doesn't know how she'll get through today without him, Lorna speaks up from behind Felicia, saying she and Jenna will help, and Felicia turns to see both her daughters standing there. The trio spend a silent moment at Luke's grave before Lorna breaks the silence by saying she's hungry, what about Jenna and Felicia? Felicia sends Jenna and Lorna back to the car and tells them she'll be there in a minute, and she's fine. After the girls leave, Felicia tearfully tells Luke that she's been thinking a lot about the "what if"s lately, and how they didn't have much time together despite knowing each other for over 20 years, and that she didn't think she could go on after the first time she lost Luke and their baby, and now she has their baby, and Luke isn't coming back. Does this ever get any easier, she asks Luke? Felicia tells Luke she's not really cut out for this sorrow thing and asks if he can help her lose some of this sorrow. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 4--Arriving at Dean and Jenna's

Kevin arrives at Dean and Jenna's for Thanksgiving dinner bearing pumpkin pie and whipped cream. He's the first one there, and Dean explains that Jenna and Lorna went to the cemetery to try and catch up with Felicia. Felicia was originally going to host dinner, but Dean and Jenna thought it would be better if they hosted dinner because there are no memories at their place. Cass and Frankie arrive then, and each of them has a pumpkin pie, because neither of them knew that the other was bringing pumpkin pie to Dean and Jenna's, so now there are four pumpkin pies--Dean's, Kevin's, Frankie's, and Cass's. Frankie tells Cass and Kevin to play nicely because this is a holiday, not a hearing. Cass and Kevin wish each other a happy Thanksgiving, and Cass tells Kevin that he did a good job at Kelsey's hearing and catching Lucas's killer and asks him what's next. Kevin says he's going to take it easy for a while. Cass offers Kevin a job, saying that since Byron left, Cass could use another hotshot, but Kevin just thanks Cass for the offer and says he prefers being a prosecutor because it helps him keep his edge. Cass and Dean share their concerns over Felicia. Frankie asks Kevin if he and Lorna are still seeing each other, and Kevin replies that they are if he has anything to say about it. Frankie says that's cool. Felicia, Lorna, and Jenna return from the cemetery then, and Kevin and Lorna exchange a look while the others exchange Thanksgiving greetings. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 5--A Profusion of Pumpkin Pies

Dean and Jenna talk and realize that each of them thought the other was going to get the turkey, so now there's ANOTHER pumpkin pie added to the four already there: Jenna's, since she thought she was supposed to get the pie and Dean was supposed to get the turkey. Lorna is glad Kevin is there and tells him so. Kevin wants to spend some time alone together with Lorna, and she promises him they'll do that soon. Felicia interrupts them to ask Kevin to help her carry some things in from her car. Lorna tells Felicia to go easy on Kevin. Outside, Felicia tries to thank Kevin again for saving Lorna from Sally Madison and bringing her to justice for killing Luke, and offers to be the most unobtrusive mother of a girlfriend ever, but Kevin says he needs her expertise and would prefer she not back away. Felicia asks if she's going to love this, and he tells her she is, promising to explain everything while they go to her car. Dean fields a phone call from an irate tenant looking for Ryan to complain about the heat. Frankie says that it is a bit chilly in the apartment, which Jenna hadn't noticed because of the heat from the oven. Dean and Jenna cover for Ryan with the irate tenant. Felicia and Kevin return with Kevin holding two pastry boxes from TOPS. Cass tells Felicia he hopes those aren't pumpkin pies. Felicia says no, they're squash pies...so there are now 7 pumpkin pies at Dean and Jenna's Thanksgiving dinner (Dean's, Jenna's, Kevin's, Cass's, Frankie's, and two from Felicia) and no turkey! Cass says he thinks it's time for a toast, and Felicia asks if she can say something. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 6--Felicia's Toast

Felicia offers a Thanksgiving toast, giving everyone their due: first Jenna and Dean, then Cass and Frankie (and can I get an "Amen" on the "Hear, hear" when Felicia says that on behalf of everyone, thank goodness they're finally getting married?), Lorna, and Kevin, and she concludes by outlining her own list of goals for her future. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Thanksgiving 1992 Part 7 (Conclusion)--Pie and Goodbye

The group at Dean and Jenna's, wrapped in coats and blankets, feast on all of the pumpkin pies, as Cass and Frankie lead everyone in debating which pumpkin pie is the best. Felicia tells Cass and Frankie she wants to know all of their wedding plans down to the last detail, and adds that she has a whole list of things she's going to focus on for the upcoming year and Cass and Frankie's wedding is on the top of the list. Jenna asks what else is on the list. Felicia answers: finishing her novel, spending more time with her daughters even if they don't want to, and getting her TV ratings up where they belong. Jenna fields another phone call from the same irate tenant who called before (I think this must have been Brett Gardner). Frankie asks who the tenant is, and Dean says they call her The Complainer because she complains about everything. Dean fakes Felicia out by saying there are waterbugs the size of rats, causing her to jump up, until Kevin says it's too cold for waterbugs. Felicia tells Kevin to take Lorna and go, and he tells her they're leaving and he cleared it with her mother. Everyone says their goodbyes to Lorna and Kevin. Cass yells after them to take some pie, and Frankie wishes them a happy holiday. Felicia says she'll see Lorna when she gets back. Lorna asks Kevin where she's going, and Kevin tells her she'll see. Instead of telling her where they're going, Kevin picks Lorna up, throws her over his shoulder, and carries her off into the night, telling her to say goodbye to Bay City, Lorna. "Goodbye to Bay City, Lorna," Lorna parrots as she hangs over Kevin's shoulder. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 1

It's Cass and Frankie's first Valentine's Day together.

Well, sort of together.

This was right after Cass saved Frankie from Griffen Sanders, the creepy psycho killer, when he locked her in the basement of the old theatre that was supposed to be demolished, so that's the "you saved my life" incident that Frankie is referring to in this scene.

Cass has cleared his calendar, except for a new client named A.E. Cupido, and realized that buying Frankie jewelry was the wrong way to go because it'll scare her away. Then Frankie arrives with a thank-you gift for Cass for saving her life: a briefcase. Cass tells her he saved her life because he cares for her. Frankie still doesn't think that the two of them getting personally involved is a good idea, but Cass wants them to stop dancing around their feelings and be together.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa2DRUct530

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 2

Frankie tells Cass she needs time. She admits that Griffen was just a way to avoid being with Cass, but since he tried to kill her, she's starting to doubt her instincts. When Cass asks why she shouldn't be with him, Frankie says sometimes she feels like Cass doesn't even know her. Cass tells Frankie that when he pulled her out of the air vent and thought she wasn't breathing..."I don't want to lose you, Frankie," he says. He reminds her that that first night (the night of her class reunion), they agreed to take things slowly, so why can't they do that now. Frankie asks how they do that now. Cass suggests that she come back to work for him. He tells her that a client named A.E. Cupido might need an investigator. Frankie asks if she gets her own office and a raise, and Cass agrees if that's what she really wants. When she sits down at Cass's desk and says it feels pretty good to be back, she starts to reach to open a drawer to get a legal pad to take notes when Mr. Cupido arrives, and Cass dives onto the desk to keep her from opening the drawer and finding the necklace. Lounging on his desk, Cass tells Frankie that it feels right, them being together like this, and she knows it's right. Or does she need to wait around for some kind of sign? Then an old man arrives at the law office. Cass and Frankie go out to greet him, and Cass says he must be Mr. Cupido. The man says yes, but Cass can call him what everyone calls him. Frankie asks what that is, and the man exclaims, "Cupid!" and whips off his trench coat to reveal wings on the back of his sweater!

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 3

Frankie accuses Cass of hiring this man to say he was Cupid, and Cass asks the man to tell her that he had nothing to do with this. Cupid vouches for Cass, saying he's not there because of Cass, he's there because of Faye, his ex-wife. "Cupid has an ex-wife?" Frankie asks, surprised.

"Isn't that always the way? What you can do for everybody else, you can't do for yourself," Cupid replies.

Cass then asks Cupid if this was Stacey's idea of a joke, and Cupid insists he's there because he read a little bit about Cass and Frankie in the paper and thought they would understand.

Frankie apologizes to Cass for thinking he set this up, and he accepts.

Cupid then tells Cass and Frankie a bit about the woes of his job--Paris in the spring taking three or four months of his time alone, the high stress of the job (which explains why he doesn't look like the little baby with the eternal rosy glow and the dydee that Cass was expecting), and yuppies who would rather invest in a co-op than a dream--Cass and Frankie take a few notes. His full name is Amore Eros Cupido, and his ex-wife Faye wants to have him put away because she thinks he's crazy. But Cupid cuts the meeting short, saying he should be going because he needs to be at Visions. Frankie thinks that Cupid is going over there to help Donna (who was working there at the time) and Michael, but Cupid says the name on the invoice is Jake McKinnon (this was during Michael and Donna's separation, when Jake and Donna were growing closer).

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 4

Frankie and Cass are in Cass's private office, and Cupid is in the main area. Frankie says it's such a gentle delusion, thinking you're Cupid. Cass doesn't think Faye can really do anything here, and says it's too bad Faye can't appreciate the little guy. Frankie says maybe Faye's had enough of illusions. Cass asks Frankie if she's talking about Faye or Frankie? Frankie says she thought they were just working together. Cass says he has to find out if they still can. Frankie's impulses are valuable in her work, and if she's going to start second guessing herself... Frankie says a building fell on her and it makes you cautious. Cass points out that they survived that, so what could possibly be worse? Cupid interrupts because he needs to be going. Cass tells Cupid that he and Frankie will be with him in a minute.

Frankie tells Cass she's afraid. Cass replies that he knows, and he wishes she could see what's in his heart. Cass then tells Cupid that they will solve his problem. Cupid tells Cass and Frankie that he thinks they need him much more than he needs them.

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 5

Sometimes it's just impossible for me to find the words to describe the romance and awesomeness of a Cass and Frankie scene.

This is one of those times.

I will say, though, that I strongly believe that Cupid will not be the only one smiling at the end of this scene.

Very Happy

Cass & Frankie Valentine's Day 1990--Part 6 (Conclusion)

After coming up for air from kissing, and a quick exchange of banter, Frankie tells Cass that she called the number Mr. Cupido gave them, and it doesn't exist, and the phone company has no record of Faye either. Then Frankie asks Cass what just happened.

"C'mere, I'll show you," he says, and then, in one of the most beautiful freeze frames ever, Cass and Frankie stand in the vestibule of the law office, silhouetted by the light pouring in the windows, holding hands and kissing.

Happy Valentine's Day, my fellow Cass and Frankie fans! Laughing

Cass Talks to Stacey The Day After Valentine's Day, 1990

Stacey finds the card that Cass wrote to Frankie for Valentine's Day. Cass initially doesn't want to talk about Frankie for fear he'll jinx things, but he relents and tells Stacey that things seem to have picked up between him and Frankie since the building fell on them. Cass doesn't consider himself a hero for going into the building after Frankie, but Stacey does. Cass tells Stacey that all he could think about was getting to Frankie, and it didn't matter to him that the building was about to blow up. Stacey tells Cass that sounds like love, and that he was brave to go in after Frankie. Cass is about to tell Stacey about Cupid's visit when the phone rings: an irate client demanding immediate action. When Derek drops by to visit Stacey, Cass is overly glad to see him and offers him a job, causing Derek to ask Cass if he feels all right.

Frankie Talks to Sharlene The Day After Valentine's Day, 1990

Frankie goes to the farm to talk to Sharlene the day after Valentine's Day. Sharlene is upset because there's a red wig in her bedroom that she can't account for. Sharlene eventually decides that the wig must have been delivered to the farm by mistake for Josie, which is the next source of Sharlene's upset. Josie is in the hospital recovering from her voluntary nose job, and she is refusing to see even Sharlene until the bandages come off and the bruises are gone. Sharlene tells Frankie she sometimes feel like Lucas is taking Josie away from her. Then the talk turns to the men in their respective lives--Cass and John. Frankie tells Sharlene that she and Cass had a wonderful night last night, but after Cass drove Frankie home, she wondered what was going to go wrong. Frankie is afraid of losing her instincts, explaining to Sharlene that she would have known Griffen was a psychopath back in Chicago, but here she didn't realize it and she didn't listen to Cass and they both could have been killed. Sharlene emphasizes that what happened with Griffen was NOT Frankie's fault, and as for why it happened, Frankie didn't listen to Cass because she was upset with him, and she feels like she's losing her instincts not because she actually IS losing her instincts, but because she has fallen for Cass, and when that happens it's like putting a magnet next to a compass: everything goes haywire. Frankie says that's scary, and Sharlene says it isn't necessarily scary. Frankie and Sharlene discuss their own fears about things going wrong with Cass and John, respectively, and how Janice, and Frankie's mother Emma, were always waiting for something to go wrong. But Sharlene says that Frankie is not jinxed, and Sharlene is not crazy. They are two very lucky ladies who have two great guys who love them. But Frankie says that she's not ready to be in love right now, and now she has to figure out how to tell Cass that.

Cass Unintentionally Insults Derek, 1990

Cass wants Derek to accompany him to talk to the crooked business partner of the irate client who called demanding immediate action from Cass regarding a money problem (the crooked guy took money from a corporate account that he wasn't supposed to take) so that Mr. Crooked knows that Cass means business. Derek is insulted and angry that Cass wants him to act as a goon, and storms out even after Cass and Stacey insist that they don't see Derek that way, and Cass swears that isn't what he meant. Stacey tells Cass that Derek has been very sensitive lately about the way people see him, and then goes after him herself.

Cass & Frankie 1990--I'm Gonna Correct Some Mistakes That I Never Should Have Made

Cass is just about to call Frankie when she walks through his door, and he happily greets her. She says it's telepathy. Cass says things are definitely starting to look up here and pulls Frankie into a hug, which she returns. As he's holding her, Cass tells Frankie he could get used to this very easily. Frankie breaks the hug and tells Cass they have to talk. Cass is in a great mood, very joking and playful and happy. He tells Frankie that he thinks they should go out tonight and celebrate. Frankie tells him that he doesn't seem to be getting the picture here, and it's very crucial. "It's about us--" she begins.

Cass interrupts her. "Ooh, I love it when you talk about 'us!' he says, and kisses her. She starts to kiss him back, then pushes him away and says they can't do it this way. Cass says he could clear off his desk, or there's the pinball machine. Frankie says they have to talk. Cass is still joking ("Me sit there."), but he sits down at his desk, and Frankie sits in a guest chair "across the barrier" from Cass, as Cass puts it, and he tells her that she has his undivided attention.

Frankie struggles to find the words, but she finally does, starting by apologizing to Cass for not listening to him about Griffen because she was so stubborn. Cass tells her to just not let it happen again. Then Frankie says she's very grateful to Cass for saving her life, but... Cass interrupts to say that he doesn't like the way that this sounds, because it sounds like the preamble to a goodbye. Frankie says that's what it is. "No! No way, Frankie! I'm not gonna go through this again, do you understand me?" Cass exclaims as he vaults from his chair and rounds the desk to face her, as she is now on her feet as well. "We've already done the 'I can't see you anymore' routine. It almost got us killed!"

"Yes! That's why this is different!" Frankie replies.

"No, this is NOT different!" Cass insists. "We've had this discussion. We're gonna start over. It was agreed upon. We're gonna start over from the beginning. That's that!"

"Life is not always legally binding, Cass," Frankie says.

"Come on," Cass says. He picks up Frankie's purse, then grabs her by the hand with his other hand.

"Where are we going?" Frankie asks.

"I'm gonna correct some mistakes that I never should have made," Cass replies determinedly as he pulls Frankie out the door behind him as she asks what he means by that.

Frankie & Cass 1990--I Can't Do This, I'm Going to Hurt You, Cass

Cass takes Frankie for a stroll by the lake, and asks her if she remembers the last time they were there, the night they found Catherine's body. It was the night that everything started to go wrong for them, according to Frankie, from the moment Cass said he cared about Frankie. Cass proposes that they start over from that night, only this time they're gonna get it right. Cass and Frankie discuss the night of Frankie's class reunion. When Frankie says she never should have asked Cass to the reunion, Cass tells her he's glad she did. He learned about her that night. She knocked her old classmates dead, Cass tells her. He was the envy of all the guys in the Grange Hall that night. Frankie admits that maybe her old classmate were a little surprised. Then Cass asks if Frankie remembers when they danced. She does. Cass insists that that dance was magic. Frankie was amazed Cass could do all those steps, and Cass tells her she inspired him. Frankie says she still remembers what Cass said to her that night: "Look into my eyes, and believe." Cass tells her he still means that. Keep focused on him, on them, and everything will be fine. Frankie panics then and tells Cass that bringing her out there and talking about that night isn't fair. Cass wants Frankie to remember. They let their feelings just happen, and there were no games. It was just the two of them, and they felt so close. Frankie remembers. Cass does too, and he remembers how he felt about Frankie that night, which is the way he still feels about Frankie now. Frankie says that she was beginning to feel that she could trust Cass and that they could make things work. Cass says they can. Frankie reminds him that Cecile happened then. Cass says that's the part that they have to change. Major rewrite. No Cecile. She gets the blue pencil, and Cass and Frankie get a new ending. Cass kisses Frankie, but she pulls away, insisting that she can't do this. She's all wrong for Cass and she's going to hurt him. Cass asks her what about Valentine's Day, and Cupid? He thought they worked all this out. Frankie says she didn't. Then she takes off, with Cass calling after her.

Frankie Tells Sharlene She's Going Away to Think and Not to Tell Cass Where She Is, 1990

Frankie interrupts Sharlene at work at The Pelican Club to tell Sharlene that she has seen Cass and she has to get out of town because she's at a crossroads and can't afford to make another decision. She has to have time to think things out, to sort them out, work them out, sort them out. Sharlene points out that Frankie is repeating herself. Frankie says she always does that when she's nervous. She scribbles the information for where she'll be on a napkin and hands it to Sharlene, saying that she didn't want Sharlene to think she got locked up in a prop room again and this is where she'll be in case there's an emergency. Frankie also asks Sharlene to swear on a stack of Bibles not to tell Cass where Frankie is. Sharlene asks how long Frankie will be gone, and Frankie says she'll be gone as long as it takes, but not to worry about her, and she tells Sharlene she loves her and then takes off.

Cass Goes to the Farm Looking for Frankie, 1990

Cass goes to the farm to see if Frankie is there. The only one home is John, who is replacing locks on all the windows because he and Sharlene were robbed. Cass asks if Frankie is there or if she called. John tells him no to both questions. Cass asks what John is doing, and John explains about changing the locks because they were robbed. Cass says that's nice, then asks where Sharlene is. John tells Cass that she's at work. At The Pelican Club? Cass wants to know. Yes. Cass wishes John luck with the locks, and hurries off, barely acknowledging Detective Courtney Walker of the Bay City P.D. on his way out. Courtney asks John what's with Cass, and John replies that Cass is a man in love, so they'll have to forgive him for being short on the social graces.

Cass and Sharlene 1990--Please Tell Me Where Frankie Is

Cass goes to The Pelican Club and asks Sharlene where Frankie went. Sharlene replies that she can't tell Cass, because Frankie went away to be alone and to think. Cass says he has to know where Frankie is. Sharlene tells Cass that she swore on a stack of Bibles. "I have to find her!" Cass exclaims.

"Why?" Sharlene asks.

"Because I love her!" Cass blurts out. (And no, this is not his declaration of love to Frankie. That's still a ways away yet, and worth the wait.)
