AW alum Susan Sullivan (Lenore) & Ruben Santiago-Hudson (who can be currently seen on the 91 *hulu* epi's as Capt. Billy Cooper) are both featured in a new show called Castle, which debuts tonight on ABC at 10 p.m. ~

"Flowers for Your Grave" -- In the premiere episode of ABC's new midseason series, CASTLE, a wildly famous mystery novelist, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion, ONE LIFE TO LIVE; DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES), who is bored with his own success, learns that a real-world copycat killer has started staging murders from scenes depicted in his novels. Castle is questioned by NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), a bright and aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under a tight rein. Though they instantly clash, sparks of another sort also begin to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle steps in to help find the killer.
CASTLE premieres tonight (10:02-11:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network. Authors James Patterson and Stephen J. Cannell guest star as themselves in a poker game. (This program will repeat Sat., 3/14 from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET)
CASTLE stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Susan Sullivan (ex-Nancy, A WORLD APART; ex-Lenore, ANOTHER WORLD; ex-Maggie, FALCON CREST) as Martha Rodgers, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, Ruben Santiago-Hudson (ex-Billy, ANOTHER WORLD) as NYPD Captain Roy Montgomery, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever (ex-Ian, GENERAL HOSPITAL) as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.
Guest cast: James Patterson as himself, Stephen J. Cannell as himself, Monet Mazur as Gina Cowell, Keir Dullea as Jonathan Tisdale and Dan Castellaneta as Judge Markway. |

Though it must have been early in his career, I thought that Thomas Gibson was actually the best actor who ever portrayed Sam. Loved Dharma & Greg! |

~~~Susan Sullivan plays *Castle*'s mother.
It looks like a fun part. Somewhat like the mother
on Two and a Half Men with a little *Felicia* thrown in.
I thought she was the most entertaining part of the show.
Oh, and she has dark hair!

Just caught a glimpse of her on the show. She's always been a great actress but I have to say I don't love her as a red head; not flattering at all. |

~~~*t_l*, I think Susan is still a very striking woman...however,
I do agree with you about the haircolor choice for this part.
Maybe tptb wanted her to look completely different from her
previous roles. I was hoping it's a wig & she still has her lovely
blonde locks under there somewhere.

She's the only reason I started watching
"Castle," and I was surprised to see she's
playing a totally different character from
the ones that she portrayed on "AW" and
"Falcon Crest." She's always amazing at
bringing a character to "life."
