my name is Chip! I'm a guy who watched Another World especially during the 1980's and early 1990's. My favorites couple was Donna and Michael. Daytime TV has NEVER been the same since they cancelled one of the greatest soaps in history!
We couldn't agree more!!! Sounds like you and I watched about the same time period. Loved Michael & Donna too (they were MADE for each other). Gotta ask ~ how did you feel about FauxDonna (Philece Sampler)?

Oh My Gosh - Get on over to HULU!!! It's almost like going home.
Welcome Chip
I loved Donna and Micheal Too! She was the face that appeared on my screen when I stumbled across the show on Soapnot. What a thrill that was! To see her in action again almost made we wake the whole family up in excitement!!
I watched the same period as you. I have been watching 1981 and found it to be really great acting too and it filled in a bunch of history for me. Not like the crap they have now.

~~~Natalie ICAM, on both fronts.
*CJ*, have you ck'd out 'the 81's on AOL?
If you've never seen Richard Bekins' *Jamie*, you can catch
him there. Also, Nancy Frangione's first days as *Cecile*
are there too. The triangle of *Jamie*>*Cecile*<*Sandy* really heats
up in those episodes, as well as Nancy&Christopher's real life relationship!
We've been wishing hulu would pick '81 up
where AOL left off. David Canary had just come to town as *SteveFrame*.
I was really looking forward to watching the father/son story again.
I didn't have a vcr when those epis first aired, and missed many of them.
This was a great op to fill in the blanks in my AW memories.
Of course, Douglass Watson was in his prime during that period.
I can never get enough *Mac*.
I am extremely grateful for the '91's,
but it would be wonderful if we could get back to 1981 too!
*CJ*, hope you're having fun with us here in what we like to
call our *playpen*. Stopping by is always a highlight of my day.
Yup ~ I was totally into the 81's myself cuz I was finally gonna see why my guy Mitch went to prison. And I was thoroughly enjoying RB's Jamie. Let's hope those 81's find a venue soon!
I loved RB's Jamie, and was interested to see what was gonna happen with Dr. Rick (would he dump Marianne, or would she wise up and realize what an incredible man she had and stop taking him for granted and treating him like dirt?), and when Sandy would wise up to Cecile (as Jamie did before him), and what all would happen with Mac and Rachel and Ada. You're making me miss the '81s all over again, and I still have a ton of '91s to get caught up on! I'm still on June, for cryin' out loud!
Hi Chip:
Please excuse my delay in adding my
welcome. You will love this "family" of
"AW." Many of us used to meet at
SOAPnet's message board until they
stopped airing our program. Wendy
(Eplinlover) found us a home here since
then. It's nice to have you with us.
WELCOME ABOARD!!
