For those of us you can't get enough of Stephen, you can go to the Astepro website and see the full length commercial with Stephen. It was the original one that explains how the med works. He looks so cute. I can't get me enough of my Cass!!!!

~~~Thanks *Tas*
I just had *lunch* with Stephen!
I replayed it over&over just to hear his incredible voice.
{did have to block out the whole 'nosebleeds', etc. part tho}
http://www.astepro.com/
Just click on Stephen's smiling face...
This is the version where we get to see that broad,
beautiful grin.
I will be paying a visit whenever I log on. I'm sure TPTB
are counting 'hits' like every other advertiser on the net.
I hope the makers of Astepro realize how much we enjoy
seeing the face that accompanies those dulcet tones.
Now...
If we could just *convince* the admen to pair ABM with SS in
a playful, Nick&Nora series of commercials {remember JG&MH?}...
So, I'm challenging all our fanfikers and aspiring writers to offer up
Chapter One where the Astepro man meets the single mom on the beach...
Are y'all up to it?
...maybe ABM could be the "she" he mentions when referring to his doctor
Any suggestions for the casting in one down the road when the couple's *AuntieMame* drops in???
*AG* or *NG*, any idea how many words
are in the long spot vs. the shorter version?
We need to share this very special chemistry with the
rest of the *World*...
Here's some info from the site about the manufacturer:
I'm all for this!
*NG*, you wanna answer the "Auntie Mame" question?
Just one thing...Who are JG and MH? I know of The Thin Man movie series, but that was William Powell and Myrna Loy. And then I heard there was a remake sometime in the '60s or '70s with Peter Lawford and Phyllis Kirk. (I have no idea who Phyllis Kirk is, but I can't see Peter Lawford as Nick Charles. William Powell, yes. Stephen Schnetzer, yes. Peter Lawford? No.)
KT, great find!! That Polaroid 'series' of commercials were totally some of the best ever. I always cracked up at the people who would write in to one of the TV Q&A columns asking them if JG and MH were actually married LOL!
Great idea all, about the Astepro man asking his 'doctor', or maybe the Astepro man will share good med traits with the Caltrate girl on the beach, and maybe even Auntie Claritin woman can stop making her pies and preserves long enough to make them both feel Claritin clear! Then the Astepro man will have pointed at his nose so often that he'll need some Aleve!!
Love that SS referred to his doc as a "she." And how about that cute little Cass-like sh*t-eatin' grin at the very end. Tell me again why this man is not working on some show full-time? I'm hoping he reprises his "Carl the DA" roll on Damages.
Tell me again why Stephen Schnetzer, Linda Dano, Anna Stuart, Tom Eplin, Alice Barrett Mitchell, Victoria Wyndham, Charles Keating and Judi Evans are not working on some show full-time?
Okay, Linda's reason is self-imposed (per Part 5 of her AWT interview) and I'm not sure if Anna Stuart's gig with AMC is still going on, but there's gotta be something out there for the rest of our beloved, and oh-so-talented, AW alum.
~~~It is amazing & a huge waste of talent, *NG*.
In the meantime I will continue to click on SS's ad & *wish*
for more of him {as well as the others}...
The fact is that most actors do not make a living practicing their craft and the ones that do, the so-called "working actors," consider themselves lucky. It is a shame though to see our great AW actors(David Forsyth and Alice Barrett Mitchell most recently) relegated to day player roles on shows such as AMC and OLTL, but it seems as if many of them make commercials and do smaller parts in films and on TV to "pay the bills"(just like us regular folk) so they can concentrate on theatre work(which doesn't pay as well but allows them to do the thing they love and satisfies their need to perform).
D'oh! James Garner and Mariette Hartley! :smacks self in forehead: I get it now! Yeah! I'd LOVE to see Stephen and Alice in something like that!
Anna Stuart is no longer on AMC because her only tie to the canvas was her character Mary Smythe's daughter Greenlee, and Greenlee was killed off for February sweeps. She was there for the memorial service, and then gone. Speaking of AMC, and AW alumni, I don't know which of his characters is going to die, but for May sweeps, they are making the monumental mistake of killing off David Canary! It's either going to be Adam Chandler getting killed off, or someone mistakes Stuart for Adam and kills him instead. Either way, AMC fans everywhere are up in arms. DC is a beloved fan favorite.
I do know that ABM is the managing director of Brave New World Theatre Company in Brooklyn, and SS does a lot of theatre. Charles Keating did a one-man show recently about aging. Judi Evans is working in pre-planning funerals in California. I'm not sure what Victoria Wyndham is up to nowadays. But ITA, we were blessed with a talented group of people bringing our beloved Bay Cityites to life. I too wish we could see more of them.
Here's the skinny on the play ("Legacy of Light") that Stephen Schnetzer is doing in Washington DC until June 14. As the P&G Classic Soaps website pointed out ~ something is definitely missing in SS's list of credits !
Thank you so much for the pic and the clip. It was so nice to see Stephen in action. I wish I could go and see him myself but I am not able to go. It looks like he is doing a wonderful job.
Thanks again.
