LOVE this 3-minute acoustic guitar closing of Another World.  Though I thought that SS didn't join the cast as Cass Winthrop until December of 1982, he's listed in the credits in this 7/30/82 epi.  Also, what is Steve Frame doing smushed under that slab of concrete? Shocked

This guitar version is a rarity, and a find, just like the guitar/flute closing of the same theme on Eddie's site.

There was a storyline (I think it lasted a while, but too many dust-bunnies in that corner of my brain to remember) where a building (or several?) being built by Frame-Harding construction was built incorrectly intentionally to commit sabotage.  This one in the close just *happened* to trap Rachel and Steve2 so they could have some alone time I guess (thanks writers) and while they're stuck, we see notquiteAlice with the EMTs and rescuers outside.  Not quite the gripping triangle of the late 60s/early 70s, but we had to wait till the 25th Anniversary for that.  There was somebody else trying to whistle-blow and he found himself killed *by accident*, around this same time...his wife was played by Anita Gillette (Search, Match Game, others).  Anyway, Steve wasn't smushed at first when he and Rachel were trapped, there was a shifting of the debris later and that's when Steve found himself smushed.

Thanks so much for posting.  Love that guitar theme and also seeing crazy Alma Rudder!  Too bad the AOL episodes did not reach this point.  If only P&G would post the early 80s episodes on their You Tube channel.

And, if you check the vid again (which we're all gonna do anyway, right??  Wink ), the scene from the costume store where Alma gets the biga$$ Raggedy Ann, the clerk (according to the credits) is James Eckhouse, Brenda and Brandon's dad, on the original 90210.  Wow, I just checked, and he's not on either of Eddie's actor lists...don't know about the cast list in the Big Book, as mine (hopefully) is in storage at the moment (another off-screen soap saga, ugh).  Just got thru adding him to the LONG list of alums at IMDb (wish I could clean that thing up where it's correct and in order, but that seems to be a TALL order...).

The things we learn from YouTube, huh?!?
(like Jean Smart riding that bus...I knew I liked her for *some* reason!  Cool  )
