Yes, I've got the Twitter AW fan site also. It's actually quite easy. You sign up listing an email address, password, a website (if you have one)...pick a screen name (real name if you like, or a handle instead) and a username (which will be used in your Twitter addy; example-- if LD wants one, and it's available for her to use her actual name for a username, it would be twitter dot com slash LindaDano, or something like that.)

Once you've gotten started, there is a search feature to look for people or fan sites to "follow" (basically, Twitter lingo for linking). Following once you find someone, is a simple as clicking a 'follow' button underneath the siteholder's pic/avatar. You can follow someone else without them following you back, and vice versa, or they can later follow you back after you following them.

Your avatar pic is optional, up to a certain size. If you don't have a pic or graphic yet, there is a brown square with a

o_O

on it as an interim placeholder till you do upload something. Each posting, or "tweet", cannot be longer than 140 characters. There is a counter in the upper right corner that keeps up as you type out the tweet.

You can reply to any tweet you get to your site (but you'll only get tweets if you follow someone else's site) by clicking a curved-arrow icon to the right of the tweet. That leads you to the top of the page, with the person's (or site's) name appearing first before the point where you start typing out your reply, the person/site name will appear like " @LindaDano ", with the LindaDano part as a hyperlink to LD's Twitter site. Once the tweet reply has been sent, it will appear on LD's site. Vice versa, anyone can reply to any tweets you have posted on your own Twitter site, and will appear with " @LindaDano ", followed by their tweet.

Any tweet can include links to other sites, articles, vids, etc. but the link may be automatically shortened with Tinyurl or other URL shortening functions, that Twitter utilizes. You can't show pics in your posts, but you can link to pics with other sites, like Twitpic (I guess the other picture-hosting sites would work too, but I'm not sure about if the URL would get shortened for space like with regular links).

Your Twitter site is color and style customizable (backgrounds can be any solid color or have graphics/pix, hyperlinks' color can be any color also). You get 2 different pages --1 is the home page, which lists the tweets you receive, the twitterers you follow, and links to the lists of followers, lists of those following you, and the amount of updates you have made ...while the other, your profile page, is all the tweets you have posted; this part is the page others see when they type in your Twitter address (twitter dot com slash LindaDano).

Another thing, down at the bottom of each page, there is a "More" link. Click that if you want to see another set of tweets from before the time you received your first set. Do it again for another set, and so on. This function is helpful if you haven't looked up your site in a while, or you follow many twitterers that post many tweets.

Anyway, it's really simple, but the 140-character thing might be restrictive (just post more tweets if you want to say more); plus a Twitter site isn't as customizable as a regular website, but you can get around most things you might not like about Twitter.
