Hey, everybody!

AT LAST! We had bad weather yesterday and today, resulting in a lot of computer down time for me. Apparently my computer is overly sensitive to severe storms in the area, and refuses to hold a connection when the wind gusts over 40 mph. Consequently, there's just a couple handfuls of clips for this week, but they're all leading to big doings. Thanks to Janie for all the 1993 stuff, and I will continue to battle YouTube and the computer to get more clips up, and this weekend there will be clips from both 1993 and 1990.

Dean, Jenna, Rachel and John at KBAY

Dean and Jenna arrive at KBAY for Jenna's meeting with Rachel. Before they can begin, John arrives and asks to speaks to Jenna alone. Although Jenna is reluctant, she agrees to speak to John, and they discuss her pregnancy, remedies for morning sickness, and John gives Jenna a book and a jar of pre-natal vitamins. Jenna thanks John. Dean asks Rachel if she can pull a few strings to help him with the surprise he has planned for Jenna. After John leaves, Rachel tells Jenna she has some news for Jenna but she doesn't want to throw Jenna. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Rachel and Jenna Discuss the Show and Felicia's Drinking

Rachel tells Jenna that Marvin Griff of Griff Syndication is coming to watch Jenna tape "Jam Session" because he thinks he can take the show nationwide with Jenna as the host. Jenna isn't happy about replacing Felicia, and tells Rachel that Felicia's not an alcoholic. Rachel replies that she wants to save the show for Felicia so Felicia will have something to come back to. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow for Jenna: Cass and Frankie's wedding, the first meeting with Victor Rodriguez about Felicia's drinking, and Marvin Griff coming to KBAY. Jenna asks Rachel, "Don't you think we can all skip that" meeting with Victor, but Rachel refuses. Jenna thinks that Felicia's only problem is that none of her friends believe in her anymore. Rachel insists that's not true and says that she'll cancel Marvin Griff but not Victor Rodriguez. Jenna says that the only reason she's doing the show is so her mom will have something she can fight for. Rachel asks if that means Jenna will go for the deal if Griff offers her one. Jenna replies that she'd have to see the deal. Rachel says that's good and reflects that Jenna has learned a lot these last few months. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Jenna and Dean--I'd Follow You Anywhere

Jenna tells Dean about Marvin Griff and says that she wants Felicia to wow Griff so that she'll feel like the show is still hers and like she still belongs. Jenna notices that Dean is wearing the new suit he got for Frankie and Cass's wedding. Dean tells her that he's giving the suit a test drive, then asks Jenna if she'd like to go to Paris with him and leave all the craziness behind. Jenna tells Dean sometimes she thinks he's crazy and kisses him. Dean then asks if she'd like to go somewhere else. Jenna replies that she would follow Dean anywhere, and so he extends his arm to her, she takes it, and they take off together. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Dean and Jenna Go to Dinner

Dean takes Jenna to a fancy restaurant. She frets that they can't afford it, but he reminds her that he has a record deal and she's hosting a talk show, then asks her if she's going to be practical every time he tries to be romantic. The waiter tells Dean and Jenna the specials, but they're not exactly the most appetizing-sounding foods, since they include sweetbreads and calf's liver. Dean asks Jenna what sweetbreads are. She tells him that they're cow intestines. Jenna then tells Dean that what she's really hungry for is a cheeseburger, onion rings, and a chocolate malt. Dean asks Jenna if she wants to sneak out the back, but she tells him she doesn't think they'll have to do that, then says something in French to the waiter. Whatever it is she says, it works, as the waiter rushes to get Dean's and Jenna's coats, and then they leave. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Jenna and Dean--I Adore You. I Adore You Right Back.

Jenna and Dean enjoy their cheeseburgers, onion rings, and chocolate malts in front of the fireplace at their cottage hideaway. Dean says he'll spoil their baby whether it's a boy or a girl. Jenna tells Dean she adores him, and Dean tells Jenna he adores her right back and asks her and the baby to be his. Jenna smiles, says, "I can't believe you're asking that," and kisses Dean. Cass and Christy, and Douglas and Frankie--Crisis Time

Cass defends Frankie to the agitated Christy, who is blaming Frankie for Douglas's refusal to seek treatment, and tells Christy that Christy has to talk to Douglas. When Christy scoffs, Cass says that he and Frankie will talk to Douglas with Christy. Meanwhile, Frankie makes Douglas take oxygen and tells him not to give up, because the EMS team will be there any minute. Douglas says they won't be able to help him this time. Frankie pleads with Douglas to fight because there are too many people who aren't ready to let him go. Douglas tells Frankie to help them as she helped him. The paramedics arrive, ask Frankie to stand back, and say it looks like Douglas is having a heart attack. Frankie tearfully asks Douglas what she can do. Douglas only looks at her. Cass and Christy, Douglas and Frankie--Crisis Time, Part 2

Christy frets to Cass that he shouldn't be spending the night before his wedding helping her with Douglas, and she doesn't want him to think she's a basket case, but Cass reminds Christy that he and Frankie promised they would be there for her and Douglas and they meant it. (I LOVE how Cass includes Frankie in everything, because it's just completely natural for him to do that.) Christy looks at a framed photograph of Cass and Frankie from their August 1990 wedding while Cass changes out of his white tie and tails and into a sweater and slacks. Cass tries to call the Carson home but can't get through because, unbeknownst to Cass and Christy, a paramedic is on the phone seeking orders from the hospital regarding Douglas's condition, since he's in such dire condition that he could code at any minute. After hanging up, the paramedic tells Frankie that they're taking Douglas to Bay City General and she can follow them in her car. Frankie promises Douglas that she'll find Christy for him and she'll be right behind him. Douglas thanks Frankie and tells her she is the only one who understood. Frankie follows the paramedics and Douglas, and she's crying. When Cass finally gets through to the Carsons', there's no answer. This seems to worry Christy, and she and Cass hurry to the house. Cass and Christy, Douglas and Frankie--The Race to the Hospital

When Cass and Christy find Douglas and Christy's house empty and Douglas's oxygen missing, Christy insists that Cass take her to the hospital. Meanwhile, Frankie is pulled over by a uniformed police officer for speeding, and the officer recognizes her from when she used to spend time at the station house with Ryan. He agrees to let her off with a warning, but confiscates her herbal tea because he suspects it's marijuana and tells Frankie that if it's dope, they'll find her. Douglas arrives at the ER unconscious and without a pulse. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

Cass and Frankie 1993--Douglas's Fight to Live or to Die

Frankie races into the ER and pleads with John and with Daryl Beckett to not shock Douglas because that isn't what he wanted and asks to stay with him. Daryl orders Frankie removed from the room, and John pulls her out of the room as Daryl uses the paddles on his chest. Frankie tearfully tells John that Douglas doesn't want any intervention and he signed do not resuscitate papers. John tells Frankie that the hospital doesn't have the papers on file, and without them, they have to resuscitate him. Frankie says that Christy must have the papers, so John suggests she get a hold of Christy. Meanwhile, Daryl revives Douglas with the paddles and announces that they're heading to the OR now. Cass and Christy arrive, and Frankie tells Christy that Douglas is still alive. Christy wants to see Douglas, so Cass goes to tell them that she's there. While Cass is doing that, Frankie asks Christy if Christy has Douglas's will. Christy says it's too soon for that, but Frankie says they should have it there. Christy insists it's too soon as she hugs Frankie. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
