I've seen the first two episodes and can't say that I love it as much as you do, Nettie, but I'm willing to stick with it for a while and see what unfolds. Can't quite put my finger one it, it's either more melodramatic or taking itself more seriously than I expected.
One show I did see that I thought lived up to it's advance buzz was Modern Family. Still have to give The Good Wife a second look. Haven't had time to catch any of the other new shows. Other than that I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Ugly Betty will survive her move to Fridays.
You mentioned Hulu; I keep hearing that they may soon be charging for their service(Comcast might be buying NBC Universal and if that happens could pull their content altogether). Guess I'm getting old 'cause I still remember the days when there were three channels(plus PBS and UHF) and TV was free. Life was so much simpler then.......ah, the good old days.

Not sure either but it's prolly my willingness to be lead around for a while that keeps me interested. I get the same feeling when I watch FlashForward that I did with Damages ~ throw that little dangler out there at the end and I will come running back the next week. However, if you dangle them TOO long, I'll go the way of Lost and stop watching altogether cuz I don't care anymore.
Been meaning to catch Modern Family so will have to check the TV Guide for the schedule. Watched the first epi of The Good Wife (it was OK) and missed the 2nd and was looking for it at Hulu but wasn't there.
And if what you're saying is true about Hulu, that would be a HUGE bummer, but given the state of things lately, not a total surprise. I too remember when TV was free with the three major networks, PBS, UHF & two local channels. You didn't get squat if your dad didn't climb on the roof and put up an antenae (poor guy, we moved a LOT), you had to actually get up and change the channel and if you woke up in the middle of the night, you couldn't rely on the TV to put you back to sleep cuz all you got was a test pattern.
