I have a few things written but they mostly are focuse on 1987-88 storylines.

I love to play counterfactuals when the writers do wrong make it better.

I'd love to see people rewrite the Frankie/Cass story and not kill her off for example.

LOVED the 87-88 storylines and would welcome your fiction!  And I think pretty much everyone would have opted for a different Frankie storyline.  Margaret DePriest is  Twisted Evil .

Amy is really the only one that has posted so far and it looks like she posts hers under "Post New Topic" under "Fan Fiction."

So other than the obvious (Adam  Smile ), who were your other 87-88 fave characters?

Kid K?

I love thed McKinnon stories (Adam and MJ, Mary and Vince, I even liked Scott and Cheryl), Mitch and Felicia. Jamie and Lisa.

I loved Cass and Kathleen although I loved him with Frankie more when that happened.  I couldn't stand Cass and Nicole.  Cass normally would work well if you made the story Cass and a telephone pole but I didn't like Cass and Nicole.

I'll post the first part of the first story in the next few days.  It's based on what I heard the writers had an idea for before they were kidnapped by pod people obviously in writing the story involving what they did with some specific characters.

Kidk refers to Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood.  He's rehabbing from his 220th injury and is expected back on about a month.  He's not only a great pitcher but a good guy who's arm keeps falling off.

That's Kerry in my avatar.

He is number 1 on the list I have jokingly of "Free pass" to have a fling with without breaking up my marriage (Note this is a joke list.  It includes about every male cast member of Another World from 86 til the end).

Not that I ever would have a chance.

I'm working on a Cass and Frankie story where Frankie DOESN'T die. It starts with the killer coming after her, but takes a major detour when the intrepid Mary Frances sounds the alarm to someone near and dear to her in the form of a "just in case" message which brings him, as well as several others, to the rescue, and the best team in the league fights off the killer together before another someone I really like who doesn't die in my version of things finishes off the killer.

And that's just for starters. Not that it'll be anything long and involved, but I have definite plans and it'll probably be three or four parts and leave the door open for future stories about Cass and Frankie and their family.

I had a *Ken* doll like that when I was little.  Pops used to fix it with duct tape when it fell off.  Maybe the Cubbies should try that.

Yeah!  I thought I was the only one who ever like Mitch & Felicia!  Of course, as you can tell, I liked Lucas too.  But I was bummed that they never brought Mitch back, especially after...

Spoiler:

...Lucas was killed & Felicia hit the bottle.  Made more sense to me than putting Felicia with you-know-who in late '95.  Plus maybe Mitch could have knocked some sense into Matt once in a while.

Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  This was pretty much when I first started watching AW full time so didn't know Cass with anyone else but Nicole at the time.  Didn't break my heart that she was the one who really killed Jason and got carted off to jail (or was it the nut house?).  Didn't see the pre-Frankie Cass/Kathleen coupling so when Kathleen came back I had to root for Frankie who by then was one of my faves.

I'm gonna have to think of who gets the Number 1 spot on my *Free Pass* list...

I think you are right about Bay City's location.  I always thought it was close to Chicago but not sure which-direction-close.

No, I haven't, Annette, and I know that I'll never be able to. It would just get to me too much. But I've read about it and I think, hopefully, what I'm doing in my story will make sense and hopefully you all will find it a better yet still realistic alternative to what happened on the show.

I can't repeat the words I said but I threw things at the tv when the evil writers killed Frankie.

I kind of thought maybe you hadn't and was going to suggest that you never watch it.  Reading about it is bad enough but to actually see it, don't do it.

Can't wait for you to fix it!

Honestly, I don't think it was her death that was so disturbing and quite frankly, I was not aware that it was not ABM choice to leave the show, but it was how they had her die.   I mean, Lucas died, and again, not the way I would have had him go out, but at least there was a chance for his loved ones to say goodbye.  What TPTB did to Frankie and Alice Barrett Mitchell was brutal.

My first stories are taking the show mid 1987 and taking a few things in a new direction.

I did a rewrite of what happened to Cass and Frankie but I can't find it.

Just curious has anyone else ever written any other fanfic?

I've written a lot of Trixie Belden fanfic.   Have about 40 stories up.

I remember reading Trixie Belden books when I was a kid.  I think she was a teen detective or something.  Is that the same Trixie Belden?
