In the "careful what you wish for" category, I was feeling oh so pretty yesterday all decked out in my new make-up, esp. the eyes. This morning, not so pretty ~ I'm allergic to SOMETHING I wore on my eyes yesterday and woke up looking like I had gone round and round with Holyfield. Great...gonna look lovely at work.  Taking a benadryl to see if that might help ~ itched so bad it kept me awake.
OTOH, if they are looking for someone to play *Sloth* in a remake of The Goonies ~ it's the left eye that's practically swollen shut ~ I'm yer Gurl!!!
BTW ~ hope it's the luminizer (free sample) or eye shadow cuz the mascara ROCKED. But I suspect it's the mascara. Poo.

Would love nothing more than to hang out with the lappy (and my kitties) BUT that's what I am gonna do all next week so gotta get all the work done on my desk (and then some) before I can even think of staying home. Too bad it's not Halloween again ~ could have worked this *look* into my costume somehow!!

I'm FINALLY back! Oh, I have missed this board and all of you!
Lisa Brown played Iva Snyder on As the World Turns, Janie. Someone is uploading Nola and Quint scenes to YouTube, and I'm writing the descriptions for some of the scenes, at least starting with Nola being kidnapped by Silas Crocker after St. Croix. I LOVE the Reardons! Maureen and Ed, Nola and Quint, Tony and Annabelle, Bea, and Jim and Hillary, and Chelsea and Johnny, though I haven't seen a whole lot of them yet. I like Kelly, too. I didn't realize how evil Josh was when he first arrived until he broke up Kelly and Morgan.
After promising us that Barney and Robin would be together until at least February, Carter Bays, the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother, totally reneged on that and has therefore become the lying, condescending jerkwad who killed the show.
In a nutshell, after PROMISING us that Barney and Robin would last at least until February, the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother, Carter Bays, broke them up on November 9, and UNLIKE Ross and Rachel on Friends, there was no buildup to the breakup at all. It all happened in one episode, and what kind of lame breakup is it where one episode ago they were laughing, holding hands, and having sex in the elevator, and then the next week saying things to each other including, "I'm unhappy" and "I'm being canceled out"?
But the worst part was that Carter Bays gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly about the breakup, in which he said this: How I Met Your Mother’s decision to bring the Barney-Robin love story to a premature climax has left fans feeling decidedly unsatisfied. But executive producer Carter Bays insists the romance was sacrificed for a greater good: the preservation of Neil Patrick Harris’ legendary ladies’ man. Bays also believes that, deep down, viewers prefer single Barney to attached Barney. “It’s one of those things where you can give people what they think they want, or what they really want.”
So after a year-and-a-half of buildup, and a paltry 7 episodes of couplehood, God forbid you let Barney actually GROW, because him nailing every willing woman to walk through the doors of MacLaren's Pub in the last five years has gotten OLD, and you rip the rug out from under us because you think we don't WANT to see Barney and Robin as a couple? They never even explored Robin's side of things! I cannot BELIEVE how condescending this jackass is about it. We've had five years of Barney as a ladies' man. We WANTED to see Barney as a one-woman man. And they made us want that. I never even thought about THINKING about Barney and Robin as a couple until the show put the possibility out there. Maybe they changed their minds. Maybe they think Barney is more entertaining as a womanizer. But I don't, and neither do a lot of other people, if all the "F*** You, Carter Bays!" posts I'm seeing at the Barney and Robin board I go to are any indication.
I have speakers, but they don't work at the moment. I'm not sure what's wrong. That's the only thing missing, though, is sound.
