Great pics!! Somebody's gettin' a lot of big presents! And what size is that TV screen? Bet JakeJake looks mighty fine and life-size on dat screen!!!
Love the fireplace! We have a rock one too but can't say we put it in ourselves. Maybe it will show up in my pics since the tree is right by it. I will give it a try...

Thanx Y'all!! Wish the place looked better but as I said, I had to scale down! Bad enuff wasin' this stuff over & over again!!
The TV is 52" Annette...The reason I got it was MY BOY!! OMG I'm in heaven when he's on my screen(now ya know why it takes me so long to copy stuff...I can't quit watchin'!)

Your Tree and house looks GREAT! The fireplace is beautift and the floors came out great! Ok yeah I look at hardwood floors. I love em:)

Wendy, your renovating. Now I get it. I commented about the fact that you have been lamenting painting since I met you. 
I love to see everyones houses. This is the first year that I decorated on purpose.
Love your wood floors too. Marlo I'm with you!
DH did a fantastic job on the Fireplace!
If your husband is like mine he probably didn't mind that JakeJake was *your* reason for the big TV as long DH got to bring all 52" home with him!
This weekends YT Vids are at Wendy's house. Bring a drink to pass.

No kiddin'! After putting in a little "Tommy Time" myself last night, I can see why Wendy has to have the big screen. TE was en fuego in all the vids I watched last night, mostly Amy's.
In TE's honor, I'll bring the JD to da party!
BTW ~ I do love those floors, Wendy, and noticed that Marlo has hardwood too. And is it a gas fireplace? Ours is but I would love to convert it one day. Gas skeers me, always has.

We had a real fireplace when we 1st moved in, but the DH wanted to move it so when he built it back, he made it gas...Mainly cuz he was too lazy at the time to actually got thru the attic & out the roof! Now he regrets doin' it, but who cares, we ain't gonna be livin' here too much longer anyways! Bring on My Log House!!
Yeah *JM* seems I'm always Paintin' or cleanin' up a mess! I'm gettin' sick of this house! Luv the way it looks but it's killin' me! DH luvs the 52", but he's tired of havin' to clean my drool off of it...lol!
Be sure to pass the JD this way 1st! If my boy gets ahold of it before I do, there won't be any left!

Renovating, don't you just LOVE it? Everything looks great Wendy. Vance is going to redo our fireplace this coming year, though he doesn't realize it just yet!! Hehe!! We are in the process of completely redoing our home too, as the funds allow. All that is needed now is new carpet in the bedrooms, new tile flooring in the kitchen(so 90's stylying), and new cabinets. We have enlarged our main level bathroom, laid wood flooring through the house, new tile at the entry way, new front door/screen door, deck doors, and almost tripled the size of our existing deck.
Then our next projects will be: excavating the area under the kitchen/dining room to grade, cinderblock the space and turn that into a 300 sq. ft "pouting area" for Vance. Then I hope to take the space that is his work area and turn it into a basement bedroom, and take the bedroom that is already there, enlarge it and turn it into a den/mini kitchen area. Plumb in the bathroom down in the basement, and then build a 1000 sq ft. addition onto the side of our home--new master bedroom/bath, two car garage, and quiet area overhead. Last but not least, I would love to have a bay window in my dining room and a sun room off the kitchen(with a larger deck) so we can enjoy the morning sun. I know this is a long time goal, but I hope we can get this done within the next 10 years. |

Whew!! You guys are soooo lucky you know how to do that stuff (Wendy's fireplace ROCKS ~ um, pardon the pun ~ I love the hearth ~ that's what you call on the bottom, right?). Anyhoo ~ other than re-doing the kitchen cabinets next year (that I think we can do ourselves, too expensive otherwise), I'm going for the "new dining table/hutch" improvements. Which means I will try to change the look by changing furniture and hope that works!!
