I took a shot of the tree further back so I could include the fireplace. Takes up the whole wall. We didn't put it in ourselves like Wendy's DH. How long did that take him, Wendy? I didn't like the fireplace at first cuz it was so big but now that we've re-done the whole room in colors that compliment it, I like it a lot. Just realized the "toy box" is next to the fireplace fer the "kids."
I also had to take one of Squeakers in his favorite "bed" surrounded by snowmen...
And, of course, the infamous frogs ~ we grew one from a tadpole, the other from about the size of a quarter. Both would probably make a meal in a fine French restaurant...

He did that on Thanksgiving Day a few years back...Not an easy task considerin' most of the rocks are 3" thick! Da man's got talent!
OMG, yer house is so beautiful! I luv the toy box nestled in with all the Christmas decorations...And...OMG, yer decorations ROCK!
How precious is Squeaks?? Kwa-wa decided that his place to sleep right now is on top of the Christmas Presents...Dats OK as long as he doesn't decide to open them!
Dang Gurl, dems some big ol frogs! They look like they're posin' for the pic!
And getting bigger! They are in a 10-gallon tank now sitting on top of the woodstove (don't use it except for emergencies after Squeakers jumped on it and burned all 4 paws a few years back). They are some sort of African water frogs and the DH and I keep wonderin' "How big will they get?" We got the kit that started the whole thing (great gift for kids) at a store in Cannon Beach cuz they had a big 'ol frog in a tank and it was 16 years old. Saw it earlier this year and it's 18 now!!! These frogs are gonna outlive me! Think I'm gonna "will" them to my nieces. They'll love that. NOT!

So Jasmine must like French food then. Aren't frog legs considered some kind of French delicacy? I could never go to France, all the stuff they eat over there--frog legs, snails.
Your tree and house are BEAUTIFUL, Annette! And Squeakers is just precious!
I wish I had some Christmas pics to share, but I don't have a digital camera (my sister the electronics Nazi does but won't let me borrow that OR her camcorder so I could make a video message for you guys), so I can't. Maybe next year....
Thanks guys! It might take me a while to get it all up but then I like to keep it up for while cuz it puts you in such a good mood!

Better ask Santa for one!!! And yer sister won't let you borrow hers? I just put her on Santa's naughty list (under the subheading of *Selfish*). Let me know if that's enough or if I gotta voodoo doll her too.
Jasmine likes ALL food. I just realized that her craving for French food explains her need to seek out and eat rubber bands. Cuz the one time I tried snails ~ the folks LOVE them and we lived 15 miles from France ~ they tasted like garlic-flavored rubber bands. Had that texture. Nasty. Truly. Just ick.

Awww, thanks, Annette. I don't know why she won't let me borrow it just for 30 minutes, but she won't. We've had the same argument about it for the last three years (including this year).
Annette I love all your snowmen stuff! You did a great job on decorating. Too funny...Santa's naughty list. Amy, I have those things and don't know how to use them. So I can't send a pic either.
I have noticed how normal we all look. I thought we were the underbelly of society.
Good idea - whoever suggested it - to start a pic folder.
Sadly, I have to report that the froggie on the left with the "thunder thighs" passed away yesterday. I have more on that in the Kitchen post. We're not sure what happened cuz it happened so quickly. We are keeping an eye on the other one but not much we can do if he gets ill too.
