I think Jake should have HIS own company. He doesn't do business partnerships, well, i.e. Donna and Matt. He can run a small company, McKinnon Media Inc., with separate divisions, i.e. video/film production, newspaper publishing, and advertising.  Jake causes trouble with more at his disposal.  Laughing

McKinnon Media, Inc. I like that. I like that a lot!

There are still some tensions, like between Donna and Jake, and between Michael and Jake (Donna wonders why Michael is so happy that Jake is baby Mack's father, and Michael says, "Because, Donna, that means he's going to be Rachel's problem! Victoria and Marley are both happily married, and now Jake has a son with Paulina, so he won't be getting involved with OUR family anymore!" Which holds true until Nick and Remy fall in love. Poor Michael, LOL. "All the women in the world, and you had to go and fall in love with Jake McKinnon's DAUGHTER?!"

Donna actually takes it better, but she doesn't find Jake's whole "Hey, Big Donna, think we're gonna be in-laws again?" bit funny, which is why Vicky is holding her back from strangling Jake when Marley and Jamie arrive...

At which point Marley says, "What did Jake say now?" as she rushes to help Vicky keep Donna from strangling him.

JAKE: "Now what makes you think I said anything?"

Vicky and Marley both just look at him. Paulina smacks him on the arm. "Jake! Play nice!"

"That's not what you said last night."

"JAKE!"

Donna's trying to get the kids to get her gloves. "But we're inside, Grandma Donna. Why do you want your gloves?" Jessie asks.

"So I can strangle Jake and not leave any fingerprints, darling," Donna replies.

Jessie looks worried. Jamie says, "Grandma Donna was only kidding, honey. Weren't you, Donna?" Donna says nothing. "Weren't you, Donna?" Jamie repeats sharply.

Kirk says, "They're grown-ups. They're weird. Don't worry about it, Jessie. Besides, if they get too wild, Dad can always haul 'em down to jail." Ryan thinks this is hilarious; Vicky, not so much.

There are tensions and arguments and knockdown dragouts and issues and problems that they all have to deal with. It's how things get resolved that will tell the story, really, or at least that's my vision. When Lucas returns in "Reclaiming Forever," Jenna screams at him for abandoning her and Felicia and Lorna, and Felicia slaps him across the face after telling him off. So the story will be how the four of them (and by extension Dean, Joe, Dean and Jenna's son, and even Cass and Frankie) come to terms with what Lucas did and why he did it, what happened to Felicia, Lorna and Jenna while he was away, and where they go from here. Does that make sense? The drama and the tension are in the story, and how they get resolved IS the story. That's my basic plan with all the stories I have planned.

I haven't thought about Jamie and Marley adopting, Michelle, but I'll think it over.

Amy

I don't mind the drama, arguments, tension, problems and conflict. As long as I know that things will work out, I am fine. As long as I know that couples will stay together or get back together, I am fine. As long as I know that families will be fine or become fine again, I am fine. I have a suggestion for Matt's profession. He could own a nightclub

I'd like to ask if there will be Jake and Vicky scenes. Maybe they can run a charity in Bridget's honor, The Connell House under the Hudson Foundation or something like that.  Is there a Hudson Foundation? I forgot.

Jake and Vicky will remain best friends, yes. Since Vicky gets her life straightened out with Ryan and the boys before Jake gets his life straightened out, Jake finds himself going to her, and also to Ryan, for advice a lot when he's trying to win Paulina back. I hadn't thought about them running a charity in Bridget's honor, but that's an excellent idea. I could do something there, I think. Thanks! Very Happy

How do Michael, Donna, Nick, Vicky and Ryan feel about Dennis Wheeler and his daughter Sarah in your version of things? I know that Dennis hated the fact that Jamie was monogamous on the show? You have told me before that Dennis shows up early in 1992 after Jamie and Marley are already married and expecting Jessie in your version of things. How does Dennis feel about Jamie being monogamous and married in your version of things? How does Dennis feel about Marley and that she was pregnant when they met in your version of things? How does Dennis feel about Marley's family especially Michael, Donna, Nick, Vicky and Ryan?

Because I'm tweaking things a little bit, and Dennis doesn't arrive back in Bay City until after Jamie and Marley are married and expecting their daughter Jessie, he has a different attitude about marriage and monogamy. Seeing Jamie happy to be married (finally) and already a father to Steven with another baby on the way is part of what makes Dennis decide to take responsibility for Sarah. When he's doubting himself, and arguing about the situation with Sarah with Iris, Jamie is the one who reassures him that he'll be a good father.

As for Dennis's impression of the Hudsons, he jokes to Jamie that Jamie married into the only family more complicated than the Corys, but he actually admires the Hudsons greatly for everything they go through and survive, some of which actually happened on the show (Jamie and Vicky bitterly fighting over Steven's custody when he was a baby, then resolving that; Jamie and Marley falling in love after Jamie and Vicky divorce) and some of which only happens in my version of things (the way the family deals with Sharlene's breast cancer being probably the biggest).

I'm in the process of working on the Felicia and Lucas story. I have the first part of it, and I'm almost finished with the second part. I'm training for a new job and don't have quite as much time to write as I'd like these days, but I'm working on the Felicia and Lucas story and brainstorming the others. I don't have a definite timetable as to when I'll be posting, but this is something I'll be working on all year.
