I saw part of the pilot on the ABC website. I can't watch it on TV because my parents steal the TV @ night. I want to watch the others, I will some day. LOL

Looking forward to seeing Linda Dano in the movie "Reservation Road" coming out in November (per her website). I read the book but wouldn't have thought of her for the part of the mom until I learned they cast Jennifer Connelly as the daughter so physically, that could work. The part in the book is very small and I imagine that it's not much bigger in the movie but let's hope this is just the beginning of Linda's return to the big screen! Talk about coming full circle ~~ except totally full circle for her would be working with Tom Selleck again and if there was ever a guy that made me gaga like JakeJake makes Wendy gaga, it was that guy!! He broke my heart when he got married. I was only a year or two away from being legal and was hoping he would wait for me!! LOL

You got it...LD is my all time fave actress . I started watching her as Felicia on AW but then got hooked on the "real person" when she was on Attitudes. I think she's the real deal ~~ not phony. So...yeah, I will keep everyone updated. Back in the early 90's I wrote her a couple of letters (found them with the JakeJake stuff ~~ Wendy, you are still welcome to centerfold, figured out it's from Feb 12, 1990) and she actually wrote back. I think I've emailed her once about her appearance on The View when she co-hosted the show about depression (talk about a one-two punch with the death of Frank & her mom) but for the most part I idolize from afar cuz I don't want the woman to think I'm a stalker  !
BTW ~~ I saw her on an old epi of Rockford Files once. She sure had a lot of hair. And so gorgeous!!

I have and I love it. I can't wait to see season 2 in September. I wish they would have at least given us a season finale episode.

I idolize from afar cuz I don't want the woman to think I'm a stalker!
I don't know if she still accepts new members, but you should look into joining her fan mailing list. I'm on it & every few months she sents a personally written letter out with her latest news & updates. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few years ago & she was so nice!! She was hosting a fashion show at Nortstroms in Seattle & spoke about herself & her life before that. She encouraged all the women who had attended that day to shop for some clothing they really liked & offered help each of them in picking it out; she promised to be honest about how it looked on them! She was so awesome! I approached her afterwards & told her that I had driven 2 hours to meet her & she gave me an autographed picture pf herself & posed for a photo with me.

OMG Suzanne!! How did I miss that  ? My sis-in-law works for Nordies but I don't think I've ever told her about my LD thing. Did she have the info on her website or did you get it in the fan letter? That would have been a dream come true!! There was a period of time where I must have been pretty busy and hadn't checked LD's website in a while and when I did, I learned that Frank had died the previous September (two days before my DH's grandma, also a wonderful Italian-American). I couldn't believe it, I didn't even know Frank was sick and spent a good deal of time that night watching his on-line memorial. It was extremely moving.
Ironically, I went to Seattle today with my DH & sis-in-law. I thought of you when I passed the sign on I-5 that said 158 miles to Vancouver! We walked around Green Lake and had lunch & when we came out of the restaurant, I looked up and the street sign said Wallingford Ave. Awwwww....
Thank you so much for sharing your Linda experience with me!!! I have some old letters and such (some from Linda) and will have to dig them out tonight when the DH goes to bed (he gives me the  when I talk about it) because I think I actually was in her fan club years ago (early 90's). I had packed all that stuff away until I found the SN board in the last few months and dug it out again. I have yet to go through it all ~ always seems to something else going on.
