"First of all, I must mention that I am a 42 year old male. I grew up watching DAYS OF OUR LIVES and ANOTHER WORLD faithfully. These two continuing stories are a tradition in my family; I started watching them with my grandparents. I am sorry that I do not fit into SOAPnet's desired teenybopper demographic. I am sure that I speak for millions of people who are not fairly counted by the Neilsen ratings system. It totally disgusts me that SOAPnet had decided to stop aring ANOTHER WORLD. I, along with many other faithful fans, am crushed by this decision. Now that there is no more AW, there is no more SOAPnet in my household. I can tape my beloved DAYS on NBC. So, I ask SOAPnet: Was it worth alienating millions of faithful viewers who became hooked on your network and fought to get you clearance on many cable providers?

I'm trying not to trash SoapNet very much, the whole don't-bite-the-hand-that-feeds-you thing, you know, but they're STARVING us, and for what? OTH, The OC, four episodes of Dallas a day, and constant repeats of currently airing soaps. The original point was that if you missed, for example, General Hospital on ABC for whatever reason, you could see it again at 10 PM on SoapNet. It was 10 PM. Now it's 10 PM, 3 AM and again at 9 the next morning. BELIEVE ME when I tell you the GH fans are not THAT interested (especially since the freaking mob ate the hospital; 12 years of very bad Godfather and Sopranos ripoffs are starting to be reflected in those totally worthless, but still counted by the networks morons, Nielsen ratings).

SoapNet's schedule now looks like the schedule at the local Six-Plex.

Here's a little challenge, if anyone's interested:

Look in your local newspaper for the showtimes of the movies playing at your local movie theaters. It should look something like this, like in my local rag:

Blades of Glory--5:15, 7:45, 9:55, 12:30

Disturbia--5:45, 8:00, 10:30, 12:15

Are We Done Yet?--5:00, 7:15, 9:30, 11:45

You get the idea.

Now, here's SN's schedule:

All My Children--8:00 PM, 1:00 AM, 7:00 AM

The Young and the Restless--11:00 PM, 4:00 AM, 10:00 AM

General Hospital--10:00 PM, 3:00 AM, 9:00 AM

One Life to Live--9:00 PM, 2:00 AM, 8:00 AM

Days of Our Lives--7:00 PM, 12:00 AM

One Tree Hill--1:00 PM, 5:00 PM

The OC--2:00 PM, 6:00 PM

And these are the SAME EPISODES airing at all these different times!

That makes no sense at all to me! What about variety in scheduling? I guess SN doesn't care about that anymore.

I'm sorry, I'm just really ticked at SoapNet and I watched

This is just another reason for me to be ticked at SoapNet.
