Well, that didn't take long. Rick and Marianne were happy for all of 30 seconds. (Did anyone else have audio problems during the 30 seconds of happy?)
I get that Marianne is insulted and angry about what Rick and Pat assumed about her and Jamie, but it's like Rick said, it wasn't entirely unjustified, and it's also like Pat said, Marianne did confess to Pat once that she had feelings for Jamie. Neither Rick nor Pat wanted to believe that Marianne was holed up in some hotel room love nest with Jamie, but unlike Marianne, I could see Pat's logic for thinking that was a possibility.
And it isn't that Rick doesn't trust Marianne. He doesn't trust Jamie, and Jamie has been around Marianne a lot. Rick wants to work through this. Marianne needs to give him a chance.
I do have to applaud Marianne, though, for calling Cecile to tell her that she (Marianne) will get to the bottom of this whole calendar entry business.
I really thought Sandy was going to take a swing at Jamie with that crowbar. That was an impressive leap Sandy made over the fence to get into the ambulance and get away with Joey. That little camera Philip gave Sandy made me think of a '60s spy movie or TV show, though.
I wonder if Jamie and Mr. Cavallo will get any of the answers they're looking for about Mr. Black? Or will everything be revealed only when Mr. Black finally comes to town and they all realize he's actually the not-so-dead Steve Frame? (Speaking of that, I found a song that I think, based on what I know about them, and keeping both GR and JC, and David Canary and Linda Borgeson since they're going to be the Steve and Alice I really get to know because I'll get to see them, sums up the Steve and Alice relationship. I'm not saying I'll get a video out of it, but when I hear it, I think, "Steve and Alice Frame." But maybe that's just me.)
Russ will be leaving soon, from the sound of things. Can't say I'll miss him.
Clarice, you MORON! You get points for sending Cory to the neighbor's apartment, but going in alone...I was totally on Larry's side there! And that shredded picture was just creepy...but then, that makes sense since it was more than likely that CreepyJerry shredded the picture.
When Mac told Alice, "It's your party," I immediately heard Lesley Gore singing "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" in my head. I have no idea if Jamie will show up, but despite what Alice said about Jamie, Sandy, and Cecile respecting Mac enough to ignore their problems long enough to celebrate Mac's engagement to Alice, I just don't see that happening...especially since Sally the Snot is going to be there. If Cecile doesn't do or say something to get somebody riled up, her so-ever-faithful-it's-disgusting Mini-Me Sally will probably take care of that for her.
Cecile sure is good a causing problems in relationships. First she destroys her own marriage and now she is causing problems for Rick and Marianne. I wonder who is next on the list? I have to wonder is Marianne is looking for a reason to leave Rick. Doesn't take much for her to lose her temper.
I thought Joey and Sandy were very lucky they could escape. That was a close call. Sandy's lucky Jamie didn't see him. I wonder how Jamie likes going to work with a hard hat and lunch pail instead of a brief case. Living alone he will have to make his own lunch. Quite a change from the high life he had at Cory Publishing.
Clarice sure is not the sharpest tool in the shed. She protects her son, but does not consider she could make him motherless if she goes into her apartment.
She couldn't use her brains and call Larry at the neighbor's apartment where she sent Cory? Can't blame Larry for getting frustrated.
Mac and Alice's party should be interesting. Can't wait to see how Cecile is going to behave. I'm sure she is dying to flaunt her relationship with Sandy.

I've seen Rick and Marianne's wedding, and Marianne had such cold feet that she almost backed out at the last minute, but she decided to go through with it. Rick was afraid, after she lost the baby, that she'd leave him, because the baby was the reason for their speedy wedding. But Marianne assured him then that she really did love him and want to stay with him and eventually have more children.
But since then, she's been really short-tempered with Rick, and really snippy with both him and her own mother, and she has never denied that she once had feelings for Jamie that went beyond friendship. I think she's telling the truth now about not seeing Jamie as anything more than a friend, but I honestly don't blame Rick OR Pat for thinking that Marianne might have gone off to Detroit with Jamie, because it's only been very recently that she's changed her tune about him.
Sandy IS lucky that Jamie didn't see him. I never figured out if Sandy realized that the construction worker in the warehouse with him was Jamie, because Mr. Cavallo never referred to Jamie by name, just kept calling him "Kid."
I know, I was so totally on Larry's side, and he was so right: it doesn't matter that Clarice looked around, CreepyJerry could have been hiding in a closet, and he could have had a gun.
I predict that either Cecile or Sally will do or say something to ruin Mac and Alice's party. Odds are it'll be Cecile, but if Sally tries to get all high-and-mighty like she did with Jamie when she ran into him at the university, or if she brings Denny as her date (which I would think Alice and the rest of the Matthews' would have something to say about since Leigh has only been gone for about two weeks), then she might ruin the party.
But I don't doubt Cecile will be hanging all over Sandy in a way that alternately nauseates and infuriates me, especially if Jamie puts in an appearance.
That's Cecile: once a relationship wrecker, always a relationship wrecker.
