Can someone refresh my memory about 1991 Sam? I noticed in the *HULU* epi's that DUH is dating Fax, er, Mark. Where is Sam? Is he all *done* with Olivia?
I notice that Sam's back in the 1992 Cass's birthday scenes that Amy is posting on YT. I just can't remember where he was at in 1991. And what happened to Evan?

Evan left town in a hurry in late 1990 to avoid prosecution for forging Sam's name on the life insurance policy on DUH, but not before saying a stalkerish goodbye to DUH (and I really liked Evan before he was sacrificed on DUH's altar).
I don't know why they didn't keep Daniel Markel, who I loved as Sam (a refreshing change from his turn as evil David Stenbeck on ATWT, where I first saw him in the mid-'90s), but he was written out rather quickly as well, and Sam went to Europe for a few months. When Sam returned, it was Brian Lane Green. From what I saw, which admittedly wasn't much since y'all know how I feel about DUH, Sam and Olivia actually weren't over when Sam came back, but he was feeling the pull towards DUH again, and then they got thrown together when they were Jake and Paulina's best man and maid of honor at their blackmail wedding and ended up kissing at the reception. Then they started sneaking around to be together, and when Sam told Olivia he was getting back together with DUH, Olivia got hurt at one of the "Ladykiller" rehearsals, and it was a serious enough injury to keep her out of the video and in the hospital. Guilt-ridden Sam played nursemaid to Olivia while DUH fumed, but the jig was up when DUH caught Olivia saving Alli from falling out the window of the loft, proving that she'd been faking her paralysis to hold onto Sam. Olivia had one more trick up her sleeve: she was pregnant and claimed Sam was the father. The truth eventually came out that it wasn't Sam's baby, but Dennis Wheeler's, the result of a one-night stand. Olivia left town with her physical therapist David, and the last we knew, they were somewhere in Europe, where Olivia had given birth to Sarah Matthews Wheeler and was raising her with David, while Sam and DUH eventually split up again for good when Sam abandons his art completely to become a country and western singer...a plot I'm still trying to figure out.
