At my nephew's high school graduation the other night one of the commencement speakers said, "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." As I think back on all the wonderful memories I have of the soap from over the years, that sentiment also seems appropriate on this tenth anniversary of the end of Another World.
As for the final episode itself, and I apologize in advance if this sounds sacrilegious, I have not a single fond memory of it(seeing Frankie with Charlie would have been but for the circumstances). It was so not the ending a once great soap such as Another World deserved. I remember after watching it how amazed I was at what a thoroughly awful job they did. IMO it was as if they had lost touch with the fans completely. Alas, it is what it is. I'm just grateful for all the other AW moments and memories I have of them....and I do smile because they happened. |

When I watched the last episode, I was very sad. I remember I could not stop crying especially the last scene. Even after a while when I watched my tapes again, I still cried. I will alway miss my AW. Although it is great that we can watch it on Hulu again. That is something anyway..... |
