Hauptmann von Zoyton appears as the german c.o. of the other side in Biggles Sweeps the Dessert. First of all he seems to be a bit of an underhand chap but by the end of the book he becomes respected by Biggles as an officer with good values. After Biggles has won in a final dogfight with him of course. von Zoyton does reappear in Sergeant Bigglesworth C.I.D. where he has joined a bunch of crooks as a pilot.
