Great looking ride, Mark. I am regretting the fact I ever sold my Powerlite and Hutch XL24. I had no idea how big the old school scene was. I may someday go and search for my old rides.

I have some of those old Wayne's registration sheets somewhere. I think I even have some old BMX Plus mags too.

Yeah, Spence. Wayne's was involved in alot and has been in business a long time.

Wayne's is still around? Are they still in Liverpool?

I have tons of old mags.

My bike got stolen in 87 or 88. But it was after I was out of BMX so I think I was happy in getting a few hundred dollars from insurance money.

Wayne's is located on erie blvd. in the city. They have merged with meltzer's exercise bike co. The merger was done about 10+ years ago. They don't stock too much in the line of BMX. Although they do carry the new MIRRACO line.

the fork is one thing you DON'T want to go... especially on a freestyle bike.

A woman who works for me graduated with Mirra, she sent me this pic of them at a high school party... kind of funny.

How did he get so good living around here? I never heard of him until he was "big time" on the national scene.

He didnt, He moved to Greenville long before it was popular. He was still a kid yet.

Dave still comes around here and parties with the FBM guys.

Did you know Mirra was riding a custom made FBM while waiting for the mirra bikes to finalize?

Ah that's why. I figured maybe it was because as that part of freestyle was getting big I was really out of it. I did find some random mags that I bought during the 90s so I must not have been too out of it Smile

Is Mirraco made overseas?

I think so, Nick might know more.

Trek is the distributer.

As far as I know, all the MirraCos are made overseas.  Trek makes very few bikes in the states any more.  Mostly their $2500+ models, so it doesn't make sense to make a $600 BMX bike in the US.

Too damn expensive, and now they want to raise minimum wage even more.  Makes perfect sense.

Later,
