Mdurg,

With the way you land....?

Why not look at the SUN Big City rims? Alot of kids who come into the shop run these at the parks.
Go with the 2nd setup but with SUN rims.

I steered away from the Big City rims because they weigh a ton don't they? Plus I have Rhynolyte XLs and the chrome started to peel off of them the minute I got them. I don't know if Odyssey rims would be better chrome. The Industry are highly polished so no need to worry about flaking.

The ones I have seen are mostly black. Weight, I am not that sure about, but it has to be similar to what you are looking at.

Your money, your choice.

Mdurg,

Just looked up the info. Big City are 600g (1.3lb) each. Yes heavier but offer amazing technology for pinch resistant flats from hard landings and flawless seams.

Also available are the City Lites. These are real nice and available in 4 colors. Winter, camo, black and chrome. These are 490g (approx. 1lb)

see attached pic. If I was to build park wheels, these would be my choice.

I have many answers just not "all" answers.

Steer clear of the alloy nips, they pop like cheap firecrackers after a few weeks.

You could use any spoke with brass nips really.

The 3/4 pound is worth about $75 dollars shop carefully.

Also the chrome has a 1 year warranty that will cover parts and labor on the rebuild if you call the right people.

In all honesty though, I say go with a premium products pair.

You will save big and get good wheels.

I use sun super stock 36 spoke front and a premium products 40 spoke rear. No problems here.

sounds like a good deal.

I missed the 15% off deal at Dans for Feb. I called today but they won't give it up.
