I am going to be building a new ride in the next few weeks. Just waiting on the new frame and some other parts to arrive.

I will post the info as it is available.

Well, just spoke to Mr. Bill Ryan today. It seems that there is an issue with the powdercoater and doing the tri-color.

This is a good thing. There are only solid colors available now. So I have it picked and it is on its way.

I'll let ya know.

Jeff,

Sounds like it is going to be a sick ride.

I am stoked on the solid color choices. It was definitely hard to decide. I wasn't too keen on the tri scheme to begin with anyways.

I even mentioned to Bill that he needs to change up his website with the frame sizes being listed for each frame page.

which frame did you order?

I'm still toying with the idea of putting a cruiser together. New frame/fork and cranks at least.

Information available to registered members. (haha)

Well after 2 weeks of calling Mr. Bill Ryan, my frame was ordered. Well it was supposed to be here on thursday 5/29. According to Bill it should have been here then by Friday, 5/30. As of 6/2 still no bike.

Amazingly, the other frame I placed at the same time for Bob, came in on 5/29. I called Bill and he explained that because of their big move, things are behind.

I was supposed to have a tracking # today, but received no call back. So I guess I will continue to call Bill daily until I get an actual positive answer.

Too bad. This type of crap shouldn't happen to the consumer. Especially when it is for a bike shop.

I am really looking forward to riding this bike.

Well here goes another day with no return call or answer for the delay.

I hate to be a pain in the a**, but I am pissed that he basically lied about shipping it.

When will a bmx bike company be in business for the customers?

From what I hear, this is why he is known as Lyin' Bill Ryan.

That's too bad. It sounds a little like what Formula went through last year (minus not paying DR and the spray paint incident). Hopefully you'll get it soon.

Speaking of SX, what's the deal with the top cap on the forks? I know the forks are suppose to be all great, but is that the dumbest looking design or what? Of course I'm comparing it to Odyssey's which are slicker than snot.

Been checking them out... I'm talking myself into buying a new cruiser.

I just don't get it mdurg. It seems like they don't have time for the little guy. Tough way to stay in business.

Top cap on the forks is gay. It is supposed to take away the need for additional spacers. Don't get it.

I like mine without the star nut welded inside, thank you.

I like how Odyssey and a few other companies handle it... thread the inside of the steering tube. The Odyssey cap is nice and thin, and has smooth edges. It looks like part of the stem. The SX looks like an emergency stop button.

I have already read these stories. And yes I still chose to go through Supercross.

One frame came already when he said. Just not mine. And still no return call. This is for a bikeshop employee mind you. A bikeshop ordered it.

So I guess a leopards spots never change.

Spoke with Bill on 6/4, he stated that the frame was lost in shipping and was sending out another one on 6/5. Told me I should have it on 6/9.

Well 6/9 and 6/10 have come and gone. Still no frame. I am really close to just saying "screw it".

No one should have to wait this long and deal with such a lack of customer service.

Maybe I will order a Redman instead.

Bill called me back today. Explained that another frame was sent and even gave me a tracking #. Haven't looked it up yet. But he stated that the delivery date is 6/13.

Thank god I'm not superstitious.

It came in but because there wasn't a check for the C.O.D from Fed Ex, it had to be refused. But will be in on Monday. Kind of a bummer considering I have been waiting for a few weeks. I guess what's one more day.

No doubt Ross.

But the good news is...

It's finally here.

And let me say, the metallic gray paint is amazing. A very clean frame that has a small chip due to the careless packaging job.

But there is an issue. Bob and I noticed that the frame doesn't look the same as the actual picture of the G6e. It is a combination of the G6e and the Scandium S7.

The frame weighs a whopping 3.24lbs with Chris King headset.

I just started the build last night and have taken pics which I will post soon.

Still waiting on the FSA carbon cranks to come in which should be this week.

Here are the pics......

I know a couple are very blurry, but my camera didn't like what I was doing.

You'll notice that the frame is different than what the original frame looks like on their website.

Just cranks and finishing the brake are left.

looks nice.

I used to run the FSA carbon cranks. they were pretty nice, but I wanted 180's and the longest they make is 175.

is the bike going to debut at CNY saturday ?

I will have it @ CNY with either FSA cranks or my Profiles. One way or the other it will be raced.
