hey all went to tri city and cny this weekend.... looked awful but had fun..... thing is im toping out VERY quickly ..... coming out of the triple going into second turn at cny i MIGHT get a pedal or 2 in b4 the roller that are almost worthless and then about 1 or 2 more in that dont seem to do much of anything..... when me an steve got back we played around with few things..... chain alignment and noticed chain was fairly loose... i have 41 18 right now and its looking like a 42 18 is next highest and a 41 17 would be next in line to try if its still to light.....i am gonna try it this weekend to see how it goes seemed like i had some more gear after the tension an all was fixed but curious if u feel the 42 18 is to little of a jump and go to the 41 17.... or any other ideas would help as well since i dont have much play time as i found out im working out of town all week thanks _________________ dmacs the name fallin off my bikes the game |

You're a big dude and you haven't been riding long. A higher gear probably wouldn't hurt. As you ride more and more, and possibly do some sprints(?) you will find your cadence increasing and at that point you can drop the gear.
Just try whatever, it can't hurt, you can always go the other direction. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

I personally run a 42-18 on my cruiser. Not a big dude. Just like the gearing. Try that first. _________________ Bye for now,

Do yo need a sprocket or a chainwheel? I have an extra chainwheel if you need it. _________________ Bye for now,

What are you running? A spider(chainwheel) or sprocket? _________________ Bye for now,
