It is a skate park - but they are finally giving bikes a chance! They never did before.
Rumor has it, that they are building or buying a new location, and if there is a good turnout of riders Tuesday they are more likely to gear it towards a skate and bike park!!
That's all - just looking for some support! |

Saw vid.
Shelter doesn't offer really anything for bikes.
Even for skaters it seems kinda weak.
For $14, I would pass if I lived closer than 2hrs. _________________ Bye for now,

they are setting it up to fail to do it on a Tues night. How about a Sat afternoon? Split the day with skaters...
I agree with Jeff, it looks weak. I saw a mini ramp (xdreams downfall - everything is BIG) in the background that could be fun to ride, I'll have to see if there is more video when I'm home. |

If any biker watches the video, they won't go. No biker will spend $14 to ride a park like that.
It is just not appealing to attract bikers, especially opening for 4 hrs on a Tuesday night.
I will agree with Durg. It is set to fail. _________________ Bye for now,

Durg,
What do you call the little half pipe ramp at X-Dreams in next to the bowl? Not a mini?
Not trying to be sarcastic, serious question as to what the difference is between that and a mini. _________________ Nicholas Rauch

maybe somethign like this with a bigger deck. Or utica skatepark style but shorter. Something to learn on, and/or do different tricks on (footjam tailwhip, learning 360s etc...) And a smaller box jump to learn on. |

Great turn out for bike nite at the shelter! Last week over 55 riders showed up! Lots of older kids and plenty of younger ones too, so far it seems to be a weekly Tuesday nite event. Tonight seems to have the same turnout, Albany definitely has a lot more AWESOME riders than I ever thought! I don't know where they all came from.
Keep on comin!! |
